Wonderful Habitats to Learn About Nature

I found a great variety of subjects to make the days memorable - lots of beautiful scenery everywhere we travelled and visited. Plenty of flowers and plants to discover, birds to search for and study in different habitats, plus mammals, insects and perfect weather. Given time to learn about the local habitats and what to look for.

Service from Naturetrek Office was excellent. Quick and helpful replies to questions asked. We had three trip leaders Tim, David and Steve - all three were very knowledgeable and shared their love and interest in the nature all around us in Northumberland.

Informative and Enjoyable Birding Experience

This is a wildlife tour of Northumberland and the Farne Islands. As I had never been to the North of England, I was keen to take a look at it’s Nature Reserves as well as the surrounding countryside and the Farnes with their abundant Sea Bird life. I’m not a bird lister, so was grateful to Tim and Steve who not only took us to the hotspots, but were able to point out the less common birds and plants. It was, overall, a great experience.

The tour operator is Naturetrek ,and they have have been very good since my Birding trip to New York was cancelled twice, and when I was refunded were able to transfer part of that refund to my trip to Northumberland.

Fantastic time with knowledgeable leader

I joined a day trip to see Great Bustards but we saw many more birds ably pointed out by our leaders. It was a fabulous day and I returned feeling I had been away for much longer as it made me feel so uplifted. The fellow group members were friendly too which set a great atmosphere of sharing. Thoroughly recommended and Naturetrek organised it well.

A perfect day out

In glorious sunshine we enjoyed exploring the beautiful Northumbrian coastline on a one day trip We spotted 47 bird species and enjoyed comorant, shag, gull and tern masterclasses Our travel company (Naturetrek) let the trip run for just the 2 of us so we had an expert and friendly guide to ourselves for the whole day What a privilege

Wonderful day's birding on Salisbury Plain.

It was a day trip to Salisbury Plain, mainly to see the reintroduced Great Bustards, which we did in the morning, followed by a walk in the afternoon when we saw many other good birds.
