Day trip around Berry Head south Devon

Mike was simply superb. He had been forewarned that I was somewhat temporarily disables ,walking slowly on two poles. He anticipated my need to sit, use the facilities. In fact he made the day with the help of all the bids, habitats etc etc that we saw. We thought we knew the area(we live an hour away & have visited often.

A wildlife adventure led by two excellent guides/leaders who, between them, introduced us to so many wildlife sights, sounds and experiences.

Excellent website, pre-departure and attention to detail on arrival and during.

Day trip to S Dartmoor. Good weather. Knowledgeable , likeable guide, Matt . Total walk about 12 miles which only 2/5 managed to complete. Would have benefitted from a midmorning and midafternoon break for toilet, snacks and drinks. Also a longer lunch break would have allowed more time to enjoy the meal , rest and find a bush toilet. However good views of ring ouzels and flock of field fares and interesting bog walk at end.

Matt who lives locally and knows the area well and very knowledgeable about wildlife. Considerably younger than the 5 participants who were all 65+

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day-trip wildlife spotting at ‘Pagham Harbour, West Sussex’ where we saw more than 45 different bird species. Our guide Jonathan Mycock was always quick to immediately name any bird we saw even the slightest glimpse of or just heard its call. The countryside was beautiful and the views we captured in our photographs quite amazing.

We booked the day at Pagham Harbour as our holiday to Iceland with Naturetrek had been cancelled due to Covid-19. We had an excellent day spotting 45+ species of birds, along with some wild flowers, identified by our leader Jonathan.

Naturetrek have been excellent at returning all the money paid for a trip to Iceland . They devised various days out birding and we are very pleased we booked the Pagham day.

A splendid day with an excellent leader. Just six of us including the leader to meet with Covid restrictions. Explored the shoreline, marsh and in the afternoon the common at Walberswick. Excellent sightings of Bearded Tits and Goldcrests as well as migrating geese and winter thrushes. Over fifty species seen in all.

It was a well run and organised day out by Naturetrek.

A well led and informative bird walk knowledgeably led by Brian Small whose ability to spot and identify a huge number of birds was astonishing.
