Andrew Mason is an excellent leader
Fortunately we were very fortunate with the weather on the day. Andrew had obviously done his homework and chosen photography locations that allowed us to achieve the best possible images. His teaching skills are of a high level combined plenty of patience.

Excellent informative day out
I thoroughly enjoyed the day. The leader / tutor Andrew Mason, was an excellent communicator who amiably shared his passion for photography, nature and the outdoors. He circulated well throughout the group to help and guide without being invasive. I will certainly look out for any future trips that Andrew was leading.

Amazing autumn bird watching
Visit to the Alde Estuary in Suffolk. Visible migration of finches, pipits and larks gave the day an exciting start and after that we saw lots of waders (species and sheer numbers), White-fronted Geese and a Peregrine eating a bird it had just caught. Overall more than eighty species.

Great way to spend £50
The Naturetrek £50 days out have been a lifesaver this year. What better way than to spend a day in the open with four other like minded people in the company of a brilliant guide who can tell you all about the geology, flors and fauna of the area. I’ve been on three of these days with more booked for the future. What better way than to spend a day in the open with four other like minded people in the company of a brilliant guide who can tell you all about the geology, flors and fauna of the area. I’ve been on three of these days with more booked for the future. The days are full, meeting at 9.00am and not finishing until 5.00pm, maybe slightly earlier in the darker winter months, with about 45 minutes for our picnic lunch but never have I ever looked at my watch and wished the time would pass more quickly. Quite the opposite in fact, the time passed so quickly I was amazed when we found ourselves back at the car park. Value for money? Yes, definitely. Thank you Naturetrek
Rating for tour operator:Naturetrek has had the foresight to offer these £50 days out just at the right time when people are getting pandemic fatigue. They are lead by experts with safety being of paramount importance as well as interest

Fantastic Fungi
A great day trip on Fungi of The Brecks for complete beginners. Our leader Su was able to show us how to identify fungi into families and then some into species, she discussed habitat requirements, timing and aging of the fungi. Su was patient and informative and we had a great day out. Su also identified birds and plants as we went round.

Guided cetacean & birdwatching trip at Berry Head, Devon UK
We had a private walking trip observing birds & cetaceans in a variety of environments (headland, copse, field, cliff, harbour) & saw a wide variety of fauna as well as learning about the history, geology, flora, butterflies etc thanks to our expert guide, Mike who had been birdwatching in the area for decades. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, clearly an expert with a wealth of knowledge to draw on as well as able to tailor the trip ...

We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, clearly an expert with a wealth of knowledge to draw on as well as able to tailor the trip to the group, particularly as one of us had limited mobility. I learnt so much & saw so many birds & a porpoise & a seal that I would never have seen on my own.
Rating for tour operator:I was a guest of Ann Roberts so didn’t deal directly with Naturetrek, however the organisation of the tour appeared flawless, & was extremely well tailored to the physical limitations of one of our party, which made the day very enjoyable for all 4 of us.
