Very knowledgable on matters about watching wildlife and able to keep things moving with interesting facts and anecdotes when there wasn’t any wildlife on view

Birding Bonanza

Naturetrek Day Trip for birds of Keyhaven & the New Forest. Superb day with an expert guide, Byron Palacios, to see two different habitats full of birds. The tour leader was very knowledgeable, patient, great company and relentless in his pursuit of our preferred birds. Small group of likeminded people sharing a passion.

A great day out !

A day out studying the history, natural history, flora and fauna of London' largest park, some 2500 acres in beuatiful Spring weather is hard to beat. In the company of like minded people, plus the guiding of a very knowledgeable and charming Ben Chapple was a delight. The deer and the variety of birds on offer in this very public place was surprising and we had some good photographic opportunities.

Naturetrek have stolen a march on other wildlife tour operators with these one day adventures in local nature hot spots. It keeps them in the forefront, when considering the larger holiday tours which they excel in also.

A one day walk (guided) around Richmond Park - London

A fascinating day trip with an emphasis on birds but we picked up a lot more information about Richmond Park than we ever knew. It was an exciting day seeing sky lark, Kestral and Buzzard all quite wonderful birds to see in an urban environment, We also say a variety of wood peckers and a multitude of other small birds. We had wonderful weather and the walk was constantly entertaining mad all the better by the very knowledgeable guide.

15th Apr ‘21 Guided Birding Day Trip to The New Forest

In a word ‘Fabulous’. Could have used ‘Perfection’ or ‘Marvellous’ or ‘Best Ever’! Weather, locations, leader (Byron Palacios) and the sheer volume of regular and v uncommon birds seen was out of this world. Will I do it again soon ... I’ll be signing up for a different south of England NatureTrek guided bird your today!

Fabulous birding at Frampton Marsh

My wife and I spent a wonderful day being shown around the RSPB nature reserve by no less than the warden, Toby Collett. In two circular routes we covered most of the varied habitats and saw some brilliant birds including short eared owls and a large flock of yellow wagtails. We finished back at the car park in a glorious sunset (if also a chilly north wind). Learnt so much from Toby’s detailed knowledge and local insights. We’ll be back for sure...
