Wildlife safari without the air miles

A weekend spent on the Norfolk Broads in Autumn. Spectacular flights of cranes and geese lit by the morning sun rising over the sea and rosy sunsets over farmland when going to roost. Rutting deer, gatherings of seals, all three egrets and a leisurely bittern fly pass. A few rarities to add to the numerous waders seen. Misty moist mornings provided atmospheric scenery aided by the odd hare, Chinese water deer or barn owl sliding into view. ...

Comfortable attractive accommodation on perfectly located farmsite providing tasty breakfasts, evening meals and a bar with locally produced ales.

Rating for tour operator:

Well organised, personable and extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. We always appeared to arrive just at the right time for the next wildlife spectacular yet never felt rushed or timetabled. A very rewarding and relaxing three days for us thanks to Mike

First class trip to an area of outstanding natural beauty

A fantastic weekend led by two very knowledgeable, approachable, and amiable leaders. I learnt a tremendous amount about the history and ecology of the new forest and about the biodiversity found in this beautiful part of the country.

Holy Island and the Northumberland Coast (Day Trip)

A guided bird-watching day with an excellent guide in a small group. We spent several hours on Lindisfarne viewing waders and migrating geese, seals and scenery. Then on to Budle Bay and Bamburgh for lovely sightings of a red-throated diver among other interesting birds

Guided tour of Richmond Park for the Dear Rut

It was amazing. especially as Ben Chapple our guide was so knowledgeable around the Deer, Birds and the park. He has a fantastic manor that supported everyone on the course of all abilities and understanding. We saw what we came to see and more. he was a real asset.

Richmond Park

Excellent one day tour of the great London Park. Ben is extremely knowledgeable as a guide, both about the park and wildlife in general. Naturetrek would be wise not to lose him to academia.

Rating for tour operator:

The operator was Naturetrek. The trip was very well organised with a varied agenda and flexibility given unpredictable weather. The level of knowledge of the guides was extremely good and we managed to track down a wide variety of bird species despite challenging wind conditions.

Good Nature viewing in Norfolk

The guides were excellent and gelled well with a wide diversity of knowledge across Birds (local and migratory), Butterflies and Fauna. Their wide expanse of knowledge allowed all the party to share in what was around us and brought out hitherto unknown areas of interest. A highly rewarding trip in the presence of knowledgeable guides and using quality accommodations.

Rating for tour operator:

Mike was an excellent and experienced guide who took us to several birding sites. We saw many good species which we wouldn't have seen without his expertise (Including the illusive dartford warbler) Mike was good comapny and we had a lovely day with him.
