Hadrian's Wall by Fudge, 10 Jul 2017

A wonderful experience

We walked the 'Coast to Coast' Hadrian's Wall over 9 days and loved every minute. Mickledore had made very careful arrangements to find us the best accommodation for our holiday. Our luggage was always collected efficiently and was always there on our arrival at the next guest house. It was a seemless holiday from the arrangements for parking our car to collection at the end of the journey. Mickledore kept us informed of any minor changes ...

Mickledore kept us informed of any minor changes and provided clear information about any diversions they were aware of. In particular the maps, guidebooks and detailed information about our hosts, how to get there and where we could eat in the evening was clear and straight forward. The personalised booklet with all information for us was especially valuable and detailed.

Cumbria Way by Kito999, 6 Jul 2017

Blissful blister free me time

A well organised a perfect 3 day trek based on the Cumbria Way. 5 out of 5 for the choice of B&B accommodation. The Sherpa service to transfer luggage was well organised, and the route notes for the daily walks well selected. I was walking solo, so reassuring to know someone new where I should be, and there if I needed some support.

Mickledore's organising and breadth of experience in organising walking holidays has always provided a first class holiday for us. Pre -planning, information, accommodation, luggage transportation is all expertly carried out. The only thing you have to think about is the walking. We always get back and start looking at where we'll go with them next time.

South Downs Way

My wife and I walked the South Downs Way from Amberley to Eastbourne, about 60 miles, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The views all along the Downs were magnificent, but the section over the Seven Sisters is exceptionally stunning. Highly recommended.

My wife and I used Mickledore Travel of Keswick to book our walking holiday, we have now used them three times, and as usual their arrangements were perfect. We would advise anyone planning a walking, or cycling, holiday to look no further than the Mickledore website.

Mickledore Travel responded to this review on 12 Jul 2017:

Thank you so much for your generous review, we are happy to have been of help for your third holiday and we look forward to organising the next adventure soon

Pembrokeshire Coast Path by TrevorF99, 4 Jul 2017

Pembrokeshire coast path - what a revelation!

We chose the Pembrokeshire coast path as this year's long distance walk. I visited the area a long time ago but had forgotten how lovely it is, particularly either side of Fishguard in the 2nd half of the walk.

St Oswalds Way by GillyC, 30 Jun 2017
Holiday Rating:

Attractive walking with wild flowers and birdsong

Walking the northern part of the St Oswald's way (Holy Island to Warkworth) was a wonderful way to escape the worries of everyday life. Carrying just a day sack, we were able to linger and look at wildflowers and wonder at the skylarks. The accommodation was welcoming and all arrangements were taken care of by Mickledore faultlessly.
