We had a lovely trip walking through the Cotswolds.

They provided good information and timely responses to question. Everything about our tour went smoothly.

We had a wonderful walking holiday staying in superb accommodation through Yorkshire Dales from Ilkley to Bowness.

We were provided with excellent instructions, maps and lists of restaurants and taxis at each destination.

7 days walking around the beautiful North Yorkshire moors, then finishing down the coast (the Cleveland Way). Fantastic scenery and a wonderful mix of B&B, pubs and hotels to stay in.

Really helpful and friendly (both by e-mail and phone). Able to "tweak" things to an odd personal request. Excellent documentation so everything really clearly laid out where I'm staying, directions to get there, contact details, times to arrive, etc. Lots of extra details about where there are shops (and loos!), pubs and restaurants, taxi companies, etc. I've done 4 holidays with them and all have been to this same high standard.

Walking holiday over 5 days planned from St Bees to Patterdale. Mickledore Travel organised accommodation and support such as moving bags. It was my first experience of a UK long distance walk and it was a fabulous one. We were lucky to have only one rainy day and even then enjoyed the walk as the scenery is so incredible. Staying in hotels along the way allowed rest and recuperation for the next day ahead.

At short notice they were able to books accommodation for a popular walk. This did involve using a hotel they had little experience of so they checked with us before booking. They also arranged for the bag collections and movements, even with a last minute final day change and were flexible and helpful. We gave them feedback abut the hotels used and what extra information we would have found helpful and they were appreciative and listened so clearly work to improve the customer experience.

I was having a wonderful hiking holiday when half way through I was struck down with a knee injury (not while hiking). Mickledore sorted everything for me. As I was on my own, a foreigner, staff phoned everyday checking on me and having a chat (she became my best buddy for a few days).

Mickledore arrange hiking holidays. I found the accommodation ranged from standard to luxurious, especially with the B&Bs. We are provided with a water proof, tear proof map and one month free with OS maps offline. Mickledore have plotted the walk on OS maps, anytime I wasn't sure where to go all I had to do was look at OS maps and follow the blue line. For someone with a poor sense of direction, this was so good and made me feel safe.

A variation on the standard West Highland Way but with stops to accommodate our health needs. This year we completed the last section from Bridge of Orchy to Fort William during September with extra stop overs, at a time of year which puts the tour operators under a lot of pressure. The month was important for us not only because of the reduction in midges because September is blood cancer awareness month and I wanted to raise awareness for the work of Anthony Nolan. A superb walk with a lot of international participation. The accommodation was perfect and even the weather was kind to us. A trip to remember.

Mickledore are so professional in putting together all the customer requirements. The route of the walk is well known but the participants are of different ages, backgrounds, accommodation requests and have individual special requirements. The complexity of something which on face value appears simple needs staff who actually know the details, and Mickledore do. The excellent information package prior to going and the knowledge that they are available if anything goes wrong means that there is complete peace of mind. A really good example of good customer first focus.

Six-day West-Highland Way walk extended with - on my own initiative - several smaller pre-, mid- and side-hikes. Splendid and varied scenery, great walking tracks and great atmosphere.

My son and I walked The Herriot Way and it was one of the best vacations we have ever experienced! Mickledore covered all the details and all we had to do was walk and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

4 days walking around the coast of Guernsey. Marvelous views along the cliff paths, along with a LOT of stairs on the southeast and south coasts. Some amazing beaches, huge tides and interesting dunes. Lots of history, both ancient and more recent. Good accommodation and good recommendations for where to eat.

I have been on a couple of different Mickledore self-guided walking trips. Mickledore provides excellent information on their website and in their tour packages, arranges accommodation that suits my needs, is responsive to questions and requests to personalize the trip.

While the Cotswold Way can be challenging at times, we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful landscape and scenery and rolling hills filled with sheep and cows. So peaceful.

MICKELORE was prompt and reliable. Great lodging bookings too.
