We had an eight-day walking holiday (seven days walking with a rest day) booked through Mickledore in late September. All our accommodations were places we would happily stay again, and the bag transfer service worked seamlessly. The maps and guidebook provided, as well as the recommendation that we pre-book as many of our meals as possible, were all very helpful in ensuring that we had a great experience. We walked the full trail (Bowness to Newcastle) and thoroughly enjoyed the journey and meeting some lovely people along the way.

Booking through Mickledore was very easy, and their staff were very responsive and helpful as we prepared for our holiday. We are not from the UK, so knowing that our accommodations and bag transfer service had been thoroughly vetted was a great comfort to us, as was having a point of contact in case of any issues during our trip. We also appreciated that if we failed to show up at one of our accommodations, steps would be taken to make sure we were alright. We think that Mickledore was good value for the money, and we are very likely to book another walking holiday with them in the future!

We walked Hadrian's Wall Path with Mickledore Travel, and had a wonderful time. We especially liked being able to add the option of daily packed lunches (most travel companies don't). This meant we didn't have to think about finding somewhere enroute, and could eat at our convenience, especially as options very limited in places. Hadrian's Wall Path, for us, was a unique and very special walk due to the history.

I was really impressed with how friendly, knowledgeable, well organised and professional they were. Everything they promised, they delivered, resulting in a wonderful holiday. We would definitely go with them again.

We walked from Ilkley to Bowness on Windermere over 7 days, staying in bed and breakfasts along the way. It was an excellent trip, and everything was well organised.

Mickledore arranged for our accommodation, and sent us an excellent holiday pack (summarising where we would be staying each night, and how to get there) with a map, and a guide book for the route. There were no major issues, and they quickly dealt with any minor issues that came up. They were really good at communicating with us (before, during, and after the holiday).

Walking Hadrian’s wall from one end to the other, my travel agency planned everything perfectly from the beginning to the end. I was very happy to be able to rely on everything and all places that were booked for me were great

Enjoyable self guided walk. Mickledore arranged a downloaded route through OS Maps which was invaluable. Taxi arrangements went to plan and support readily available whilst away.

Only issue I have is £63 daily single supplement. Makes for a very expensive walk. Other than that everything is well planned. Detailed instructions given to support throughout the walk.

4 of us, all from different parts of the world, met in the UK to hike Hadrian's Wall, east to west. Mickledore travel team did a wonderful job of planning and coordinating every detail, leaving nothing to chance. It was an incredible experience for all of us. We started planning 6 months in advance and Mickledore was with us every step of the way.

Macklemore's tour operator was very helpful, knowledgeable, responsive and intuitive. The whole team did a marvelous job of helping us pull this amazing holiday off!

Our walk was self guided, so no tour operator was necessary.

We had a wonderful walking holiday staying in superb accommodation through Yorkshire Dales from Ilkley to Bowness.

We were provided with excellent instructions, maps and lists of restaurants and taxis at each destination.

7 days walking around the beautiful North Yorkshire moors, then finishing down the coast (the Cleveland Way). Fantastic scenery and a wonderful mix of B&B, pubs and hotels to stay in.

Really helpful and friendly (both by e-mail and phone). Able to "tweak" things to an odd personal request. Excellent documentation so everything really clearly laid out where I'm staying, directions to get there, contact details, times to arrive, etc. Lots of extra details about where there are shops (and loos!), pubs and restaurants, taxi companies, etc. I've done 4 holidays with them and all have been to this same high standard.
