We thoroughly enjoyed each day of walking, despite the wet start. Our accommodation was excellent and and we met so many lovely walkers along the way.

Mickledore arranged our walking week. communication was excellent and we shall certainly use them again.

We booked the holiday last year. All the accommodation and luggage transfer was booked well in advance. The walking instructions arrived on time and were very clear. The walk was wonderful with the accommodation and food on the whole excellent.

The whole process from booking to execution went very smoothly. The accommodation was on the whole excellent (5 out of 7 nights and good on the other two. Would certainly recommend.

The walk is known as The Western Tour of the Lake District, but instead of setting off from Windermere, I chose to start in Ulverston and follow the Cumbria Way as far as Coniston, where the routes converge. From here, the Western Tour took me to Boot in Eskdale, Wasdale Head, and Buttermere, before finishing in Keswick with a visit to the Mickledore office to congratulate them on an excellent package.

Mickledore take charge of all the logistics and bookings, which leaves me, the walker, to enjoy the walk knowing that all arrangements are taken care of. They were happy to accommodate my request to mix and match two routes so that I could walk from Ulverston to Keswick via Eskdale and Wasdale. I'm not concerned about getting lost, having been provided with a guide book and maps, I have detailed information about where to find refreshments, shops, banking, medical facilities and anything else that it might be useful to know. Accommodation is well chosen and consistently of high quality, I always look forward to a warm welcome and a comfortable night's sleep. Not forgetting some amazing breakfasts to set me up for the following day. This was my Mickledore walk number 11 and there's already another one booked, I think that's a pretty good recommendation!

We walked along the north Norfolk coast from Hunstanton to Cromer. The sun shone the birds appeared, the accommodation was good and the luggage was there every day when we reached our destination - what was not to like.

Mickledore booked the accommodation, gave us a comprehensive pack to guide us and responded to any queries promptly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk out on the Thames River Path. We started at the source of the Thames in Kemble and walked 5 over 5 days into Oxford. Though I would have to say it was more of an extreme walking trail as we encountered lots of mud and knee deep water in sections, as rain fall the previous week was very plentiful. The spring flowers and blossoms were beautiful. Accomodation each night was perfect. Signage at times was inadequate.

I went on a walking holiday with a friend on the Gower peninsula and it is a very beautiful coast to walk although it did have its challenging moments.

I have been on several holidays with Mickledore now and have valued the fact that I can totally rely on them to make sure that my holiday goes smoothly.

We had a wonderful walk along the South Downs. The scenery was great, most of the accommodations were excellent and good weather. Winchester is a nice city to start the walk.

Mickledore is an amazing tour operator. Everything was organized perfectly. They respond very fast to emails. There is no need to look for another tour operator. I can highly recommend Mickledore. The next holiday is already booked.

From start to finish, I had and excellent time on my first proper walking from place to place holiday. All the information I received and accommodation booked was first class. I felt supported throughout.

A week of great walking along the coastal path on the Isle of Wight. Trail varies from cliff paths looking down to the ocean and beaches; quiet paths through fields of sheep and cows; windy walks over the downs; sandy beaches, chalk cliffs, The Needles and the many colored sands of Alum Bay. Accommodations were at unique B&B’s , Guest houses and Inns.

Website easy to use. Well organized from the start. Easy to contact. Reply to questions in good time. All travel info is now available online so makes for easy access for all travellers in the party.
