Our trip in October was better than we hoped and every mile brought on a new sense of magic only the highlands can offer with their majestic backdrop. Rainbows and some rain, tons of waterfalls, moors and mountains, castles and historic buildings along the way made this vacation unforgettable.

We can't imagine doing a walk without their careful help and planning. They reached out pre-trip to warn about some potential rain-related detours! They manage to find us the most bespoke accommodations and interesting places to visit and we can't thank them enough for making our hiking holidays so amazing.

10 day circular walk of the Lake District with pre booked accommodation at the end of each day

Mickledore organised all the accommodation which was of an excellent standard and transported my kit bag from one overnight stay to the next

With some trepidation, our small group with the valuable help of Mickledore started our Hadrian’s Wall hike . We did this over 9 days at a leisurely pace. The trail was well marked, breathtaking views, meandering through small villages. Meeting wonderful people along the way added to the delight. We were very lucky to enjoy grand weather. Just a most marvellous adventure.

After our first night, we relaxed and had no concerns about the trail, accommodations, restaurant reservations and the hike itself. Packed lunches were available and at a reasonable cost. All went very well. Mickledore was there to answer any concerns. We were able to download a Mickledore app with our itinerary, service list eg taxis, hospitals, restaurants, shops. The maps were very accurate, a book on the wall and luggage labels were provided We followed Mickledore’s recommendations about pre booking dinner The details about transportation ie how to get there and of the luggage and the organization were impressive. We are all looking forward to our next hiking adventure through Mickledore

Occasional roue finding problems, despite 3rd party maps and a guide book (and the odd human error), but we always ended up where we were supposed to be, in good time too.

Everything well organised and carried out smoothly. Excellent accommodation selected, baggage transfers carried out in an exemplary manner.

We spent 13 wonderful days walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from Amroth to St Dogmaels in September/October 2022. Spectacular scenery, warm and wonderful people, amazing coastal towns. Definitely one of our favourite long distance walks.

Mickledore was fabulous as a tour operator- incredibly responsive, very accommodating- very customer service oriented. I would highly recommend their services.

Amazing but challenging Hadrian’s wall walk

Mickledore were easy to contact efficient and provided a detailed info pack. The accommodation and restaurant recommendations were really good.

My husband and I spent 9 days in Ireland walking the Dingle Way. The walk itself was beautiful, varied, well marked and lushly green. Dingle is a great day to take a break and do some sightseeing. Easy public transportation to the start/finish of Tralee.

It was our fourth self-guided walking tour arranged excellently by Mickledore. Every detail they arranged was wonderful. Excellent accommodations with friendly hosts, taxis arrived on time, bags were always waiting for us when we arrived at the B&B and the restaurant recommendations were spot on. We will always count on Mickledore to arrange our adventures in the British Isles.

We have taken five trips with Mickledore (England and Scotland). Every one of them has been great. Very well organized, and fine accommodations. We plan to take more trips with them!

This is the third time we have used Mickledore travel who are a fantastic company and they provided excellent maps and information prior to going away, the accommodation was excellent throughout and taxi transfers and luggage transfer spot on, nothing is to much for them and the service is very personal, we would highly recommend them .

A truly wonderful walk along the glorious Pembrokeshire coastal footpath: a mixture of sublime, scintillating and sweet sea and land scape. The walk requires fitness and on ocassion determination but is fascinting to the eye and and ear at every step. The B&B accomodation selected by Mickeldore were uniformly first-rate in terms of both accomodation and food. In each case there were very good places to eat recommended nearby. The arrangements for moving luggage and transportation were equally efficient.

Very clear information and supporting material provided, alongside excellent accomodation bookings and suggested places to eat.
