Rob Roy Way Walk
We had a wonderful experience walking the Rob Roy Way. It was a little more intense for a beginner long distance walker, but the scenery was spectacular. Not having to worry about our luggage making it to the next accommodation and having the option to ride with the luggage was solid peace of mind.

No worries
St Cuthbert s way with luggage transport was perfect! Great stays in Kirk Yetholm, Wooler and Lindisfarne itself. All organised for me complete with guidebook and maps.

Excellent trip to the Scottish Borders and Northumberland
It was a 7 day walking holiday from Melrose in Scotland to Holy Island in Northumberland. Beautiful landscopes and panorama’s. Very good accomodations and nice restaurants on the way. We were very pleased with our room with a view in our hotel on Holy Island.

Cracking Coast to Coast Walking Holiday!
We had a cracking time on our UK Coast to Coast walking holiday thanks to Mickledore's Team! We did Wainright's 192miles/309km walk over 17 days, which included 2 rest days (Kirkby Stephen and Richmond). Starting at St Bees on the West coast walking across England to Robin Hood's Bay on the North coast. The terrain offered so much variation from the massive mountain climbs and absolutely stunning views in the Lake District, to the rolling hills ...

We did Wainright's 192miles/309km walk over 17 days, which included 2 rest days (Kirkby Stephen and Richmond). Starting at St Bees on the West coast walking across England to Robin Hood's Bay on the North coast. The terrain offered so much variation from the massive mountain climbs and absolutely stunning views in the Lake District, to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales and the vastness of the North York Moors. It was a tough walk in the first 6 days across the Lake District, and some days were very long throughout the walk, but it is absolutely worth the challenge!! We met some fabulous like minded people along the way and had a lot of laughs over a drink at the end of each day. The two things that made our walking holiday such a success were the weather, we walked in early June 2023 before the summer got too hot, and the excellent planning by our walk provider "Mickledore Walking Holidays".
Rating for tour operator:

The Mickledore team provided excellent communication before and during our walk. Everyone we had contact with while trying to arrange the best option and dates for our Coast to Coast walk was extremely helpful. The team also worked very hard to accommodate some itinerary changes we wanted to make to get the best out of our rest days. Overall, the accommodation along the walk was really good. The bag transfers were also well managed; we had only one query about a late bag delivery along the walk, which the Mickledore team addressed very quickly. This was our second UK walk with Mickledore and we were extremely happy with the service and the walk information pack provided, we especially like that they are a UK based service provider. We would definitely use Mickledore Walking Holidays again!
Thank for the lovely review, we are really pleased you continue to enjoy what we offer and we can't wait to get another holiday booked for you soon. Hayley

Absolutely amazing experience
We completed Hadrian’s Wall. We started our journey in Tynemouth and finished in Bowness on Solway. We walked along fabulous paths through paddocks. Climbed many styles. Everyone on the path was super friendly. The guest homes cafes and pubs to honesty boxes were fantastic.

Amazing. We enjoy our parkrun on Saturdays and Mickeldore worked our itinerary around this even organising extra stays when arriving a few days early so we could explore. We had a late change in one of our accommodations due to one of the guest houses unable to accommodate due to illness. The Mickledore team contacted us immediately and we were sorted. Correspondence was fantastic especially as we were coming from Australia.
We are so glad you all enjoyed your holiday with us and everything went well. Thank you for the lovely review and I hope we can book something again for you soon. Hayley

A hassle-free holiday experience leaving me free to relax
I took a week-long walking holiday along the St Cuthbert's Way, through the Scottish Border starting at Melrose and finishing at Holy Island off the Northumberland coast. The sense of peace and seclusion was welcome after a year of working 6-day weeks in hectic environments - with the bonus of decent B&B's or hotels at the end of each day's walk.

Strenuous but rewarding Cotwold Way walk
We were blessed with fair weather for all but one day of the Cotswold Way., and the places we stayed were comfortable, welcoming, and well located. Breakfasts were all ample, and the need to find our own packed lunches some of the time, as well as most dinners, was not a problem. A special mention is deserved for the food at The Old Fleece in Stroud, and if you haven't tried Thatcher's Gold Cider on draugtht, do! The walk itself is often ...

A special mention is deserved for the food at The Old Fleece in Stroud, and if you haven't tried Thatcher's Gold Cider on draugtht, do! The walk itself is often quite vertical, both down and up, in all of its sections, most of them accordingly scenic, so be prepared with good hiking boots (we also had sticks), and a fair amount of patience.
