I recently walked Hadrian’s Wall with the accommodation bookings and luggage transfers all arranged by Mickledore. The accommodation was excellent with lovely friendly hosts. Our luggage was waiting for us on arrival at each stop off point. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. We just had to walk!

Mickledore respond quickly to emails and keep customers informed from the point of booking to the holiday itself. I have full confidence in the back up they provide although thankfully I have never had to call on them. Great, personal service is offered. This is my fourth holiday with the company and all have been beautifully planned.

We walked the whole Way in one go and had a lovely time. Not the nicest (walking) way in the UK since quite a lot is bridle way. Still liked it very much and we just had to do it. We had a fun time diverting from the way ferquently and found the footpaths on either side of the way more to our liking; we thoroughly enjoyed the last two days of the walk and did not divert from the way there. What we really liked is the hassle free way Mickledore arranged the holiday for us. All that was left was to get to the start, do the walk and return back home. Mickledore was able to book small hotels and B&B's (our preference) along the route. All were excellent but the Nest hotel in Buriton (very rude and condescending managers).

Mickledore is always able to suit holidays to our needs. Easily select the number of days you want to do a walk in. Also helpful when arranging extra days, where to leave your car and book train transfers. I like the way Mickledore makes you feel you are part of their family. Couldn't which for anything more.

We had gorgeous sunshine to accompany us on our walk in the Gower Peninsula. The accommodations were comfortable and our dining options were excellent. Our favorite part was our local taxi service where we saw the same small team for our transfers and really got to know them.

Mickledore set up a seamless experience and chose excellent local partners for our trip. One of the reasons we have done more than one holiday with them is that they curate really excellent local lodging, restaurant recommendations, and other services. This is particularly important to us since we are coming from outside the UK.

Wow what a brilliant time we have had ! Myself & my hiking buddy did the Pembrookshire Coastal path over 13 days Our mileage clocked up to 232 miles including walking to accommodations & our exploring We also had a rest day at St David’s where we clocked up another 8 miles The cathedral there was superb . We stayed at B& Bs & small hotels All accommodations were excellent & we had the luxury of baggage transfer our bag amazingly appeared at our next accommodation We were so lucky with the weather only had 2 hours of rain ! Well the coastline was just magical absolutely stunning with beaches and secluded bays galore ! The path was tough in places with steep inclines & decents but we were well fuelled up with all the fantastic food we had eaten so they were not too much of a problem and helped to burn the calories off . We took every opportunity to soak our feet in the sea and went swimming 🏊‍♀️ The path was very quiet & peaceful If you love coasts & lots beaches and a challenging walk this is a must for you I highly recommend the Pembrokeshire coast we had such a great time

We used Mickledore our 4th walking holiday with them Everything ran like clockwork as did our other holidays All correspondence prior to the holiday was very efficient most friendly helpful knowledgeable staff who do the upmost to make our holiday a success which indeed it was The pack which was sent to us was excellent & included detailed itinerary which was easy to follow & very comprehensive Harvey map Trail Blazer guide book detailed lists of local services and recommended places to eat etc even included info on tides and alternative route if the Castle Martin firing was on Al this info was also provided on The Mickledore app which is so helpful and accessible . Mickledore have delivered yet again I have every confidence that I will have a hassle free smooth running holiday and have no hesitation in booking with them for our future holidays having every confidence in them as an highly efficient company

Walking around the coast of the IOW with my friend Barbara. She is 76 and I am .77, 12 miles a day through beautiful countryside , meeting lovely friendly people with a welcoming B&B every night.

Mickledore made all the arrangements and were always efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure dealing with them.

We thoroughly enjoyed each day of walking, despite the wet start. Our accommodation was excellent and and we met so many lovely walkers along the way.

Mickledore arranged our walking week. communication was excellent and we shall certainly use them again.

We booked the holiday last year. All the accommodation and luggage transfer was booked well in advance. The walking instructions arrived on time and were very clear. The walk was wonderful with the accommodation and food on the whole excellent.

The whole process from booking to execution went very smoothly. The accommodation was on the whole excellent (5 out of 7 nights and good on the other two. Would certainly recommend.

The walk is known as The Western Tour of the Lake District, but instead of setting off from Windermere, I chose to start in Ulverston and follow the Cumbria Way as far as Coniston, where the routes converge. From here, the Western Tour took me to Boot in Eskdale, Wasdale Head, and Buttermere, before finishing in Keswick with a visit to the Mickledore office to congratulate them on an excellent package.

Mickledore take charge of all the logistics and bookings, which leaves me, the walker, to enjoy the walk knowing that all arrangements are taken care of. They were happy to accommodate my request to mix and match two routes so that I could walk from Ulverston to Keswick via Eskdale and Wasdale. I'm not concerned about getting lost, having been provided with a guide book and maps, I have detailed information about where to find refreshments, shops, banking, medical facilities and anything else that it might be useful to know. Accommodation is well chosen and consistently of high quality, I always look forward to a warm welcome and a comfortable night's sleep. Not forgetting some amazing breakfasts to set me up for the following day. This was my Mickledore walk number 11 and there's already another one booked, I think that's a pretty good recommendation!
