We travelled to Orkney and Shetland via Caithness, returning via Aberdeen. As we had no experience of this area of Scotland, or the ferries to and from, it was so nice to have all our arrangements made for us along with recommendations for things to see and do and places to eat.

From my initial telephone call, they listened to what I asked for and tailored the holiday to our requirements. All we had to do was drive there and enjoy ourselves, which we did. Everywhere we stayed on Orkney and Shetland was lovely and had been well chosen. We were very pleased with the recommendations of things to do and see, as it enabled us to choose what we wanted to see and do to ensure we made the most of our time there.

We spent an amazing two weeks traveling by train around the entire country of Scotland. McKinlay Kidd provided a fantastic trip itinerary that included options we personally chose (castle stay, fly-fishing trip). It was a trip of a lifetime.

Outstanding backside support during our vacation-when trains were delayed or cancelled, they handled everything. Well worth the money for the trip!

It was such a luxury to leave the planning to someone else. We loved having bookings made for us, having taxis waiting, having the research on accommodations done for us.

We traveled with a small group and a guide from Edinburgh to Inverness to Fort William to Glencoe to Glasgow by train and coach. So many beautiful stops and the guide was incredibly informative and entertaining. God way to see so many places in a relatively short time. 6 days

McKinley Kidd set up the tour and took care of all the details. Information was sent out ahead of time and planning tips were helpful. The food and lodging was first class

McKinlay Kidd customized one of their rail trips for my husband and I through the highlands of Scotland. They organized everything including a personal tour guide so we could visit my clan's castle. The lodgings and included tours were excellent, and McKinlay Kidd was very attentive.

We are from Peru and we made the Car Free Scottish Isla d Hopping Holidays with McKinlay Kid. There were alme issues because of the Ashley Storm and McKinlay Kid re coordinate everything for us to continue to enjoy our lovely holoday.

There make all re arrangements inmediately because there were ferry disruptions because of the Ashley Storm. mcKinlay contactes us inmediately and re schedule everything. The hotels wonderful, connectiona and trips very precise. We had everything at hand tonhave a hazzaed free trip.

McKinlay Kidd’s Small Group Tour of Orkney and Shetland was well-paced, informative and most enjoyable. The accommodation choices were consistently very comfortable, with friendly, efficient staff and provided quality menu options. Similarly the local transport and specialised guides organised by MKK were very good and provided high calibre service. MKK Tour Leader, Ciaran Stormonth was most knowledgeable, organised, inclusive and personable. He exemplified the level of care and consideration MKK has for every one of its travellers.

Their attention to detail and support provided to each of their clients before and during their travels is exemplary and demonstrated by every member of their staff.

We spent ten days on Shetland all organised by McKinlay Kidd. The travel arrangements went well and the accommodation was good. We particularly enjoyed the organised tour of Shetland and the boat trip around Noss.

McKinlay Kidd took the hard work out of planning our trip, whilst still allowing us to customise it to our own requirements - an excellent combination!
