This was our fourth or fifth time of using McKinlay Kidd - they've always been excellent

A beautiful holiday filled with memorable experiences. We visited the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. On this trip we were on trains with views that could not be appreciated from roadways. McKinlay Kidd included an evening of storytelling and folk music. We would recommend McKinlay Kidd for UK travel!

He was a wealth of information. He was very personable and a delight with which to converse.

We had a fantastic trip! Many thanks to the staff at McKinlay Kidd (Linzi, Victoria, and all the rest) for helping us plan our trip and being there for us during the trip. (Only one small hiccup on a Saturday, and Victoria was there to assist!) We highly recommend the trip and the agency.

We asked for a couple of additions to the normal tour, and they were so happy to accommodate us. When one tour guide didn't show, they worked to get us a replacement and save our day. First time working with a travel agency, and they were fantastic.

Four of us travelled to Ireland and Scotland for the first time. We wanted to see a lot of both countries without needing to rent a car. McKinlay Kidd put together a busy, excellent vacation. We stayed in 5 towns/cities in Ireland and 6 in Scotland. We had a number of excursions and enjoyed what is a excellent train network in both countries. With all the moving and connections, tickets and people there could have been issues but other than minor problems easily solved it went almost seemlessly. Loved all of it!

We contacted McKinlay Kidd first by email and then by phone once we had an idea of what we wanted. We worked with two or three team members at McKinlay Kidd and all were friendly and prompt when answering questions or addressing a concern. We have made some suggestions to them about what might have made our trip a little better, mostly as it relates to excursions that we might have chosen differently had we better understood the time and circumstances of the excursion. Not a significant issue by any means. We have already recommended McKinlay Kidd to friends and they have already booked their own vacation in Ireland and Scotland with them.

I enjoyed every minute and every experience I had on McKinlay Kidd's Loch Ness, the Jacobite and Skye Train tour. We started in Glasgow, took the train to Fort William, spent a couple of days touring the Loch Ness area, took the Jacobite to Mallaig, ferried to Skye, explored Skye, spent an evening in Inverness and then trained back to Edinburgh. The selected explorations were interesting, the accommodations were varied and wonderful, the food was filling and tasty.

McKinlay Kidd provided us with a fabulous guide - informed, funny, helpful - who was with us the entire time, an itinerary that was engaging and energizing, and accommodations that offered us the best!

We had a great time interacting with the people in the UK.

The Holiday was nearly flawless. Just wish they could control the weather:-)

Excellently organised tour of Scotland with good accommodation, well planned itinerary by rail and ferry and good excursions with knowledgeable local tour guides. Everything to make the holiday memorable was considered.

We did the 7 day trip from Glasgow to Edinburgh. We loved our guide, Kirin, and driver, Karen. They were top notch! They brought to life everything we saw with their passionate narrative and engaging stories. Beautiful country and people.
