Excellent trip to Ireland
We arrived in Belfast on the ferry from Stranraer at 6am and from that moment until we departed from Dublin 9 days later, our holiday could not have been better. The scenery was magnificent, excellent food and accommodation and extremely friendly people. We wished that we could have stayed longer and will definitely return soon.

I contacted McKinley Kidd via the internet and asked if they could find me accommodation for myself, my 83 year old mother and my dog. They came up with amazing accommodation, organised my ferry trip, gave me ideas for places to visit in each of the areas we visited and, all in all, I would highly recommend them and would certainly use them again.

Wildlife weekend in Scotland with McKinley Kidd
A lovely short break with nice accommodation. The provision of a private Day safari as part of the holiday gave us an experience that we'd probably not have tried as did the trip to the wildlife hide. McKinley Kidd also laid on an array of cute animals for our pleasure, 😉. I'd recommend this as a good place to explore the variety of habitats and wildlife that Scotland has to offer.

A great way to get a taste of the highlands
Given the number of train journeys and hotels the potential for problems were enormoys but everything went like clockwork

Always on hand to sort out any queries not that there were many. We would certainly go back to McKinley Kidd for a similar holuday and would be happy to reccomend them to anyone

Delightful
Scotland is simply lovely. The scenery (no place like it) , accommodations, and restaurant scene are great but it is the people you meet who make it so special. From the larger cities to the villages people were friendly, welcoming, a delight.

McKinlay Kidd was quick to respond to questions that arose before the trip taking into account what we wanted to do while visiting, planning an itinerary that checked off all our requests. Once we arrived they were were very quick to respond to an issue that arose our first night. The choices they made in lodgings were terrific. I really appreciated "Robert's recommendations" provided for each stop. It provided a good jumping off point in each city. I would highly recommend McKinlay Kidd to anyone who wants to have all the advantages of a tour without the tour.

A seamfree travel experience involving caring people providing impeccable friendly service.
This was our first experience of a rail touring holiday interspersed with rest days of some organised trips and some touring by ourselves. Our hotels selected after careful discussion with "Tom "ranged from very good to exceptional. People en route were considerate and helpful. We have clear ideas about what we expect from a holiday and this one provided many satisfied smiles. A wonderful reintroduction too to the beauty of Scotland,

Initially prepared to listen to a brief description of our likes/dislikes re food and hotels. These were the basis for our personal tour/holiday. We then always felt any problems during the holiday would be instantly addressed. Personal care seems to be a key philosophy of this efficient company.

Scottish Highland Tour
We spent 12 days touring Edinburgh, Pitlochry, Inverness, Skye, Spean Bridge and Glasgow by train. The scenery was beautiful and the accommodations were amazing. Robert seemed to know, after speaking with Bruce, exactly the type of trip we would like.

A luxurious adventure
I travelled by self drive car around the very north of Scotland. MacKinlay Kidd organised train connections, car rental and accommodation. i had a great time staying in some truly lovely places in excellent accommodation and it was exceedingly professionally organised with intimate knowledge of the area and what it has to offer. i would not hesitate to recommend their services.

A Grand Tour Of Scotland
Exploring Scotland's Highlands for 14 days via trains and ferries was a great experience. The accommodations were lovely with inn owners and staff consistently going above and beyond.

The logistics of this trip were extremely well organized by McKinlay Kidd. The independent self-guided tour approach was like adult backpacking with all of the details taken care of (places to stay, train & ferry reservations already handled, taxi services arranged, customized tours in locations such as Skye & Orkney.)

Invigorating tour of the North East of England, with well chosen accommodation

With another day trip to the Ingleborough Cave, a truly wonderful experience. We also visited Durham and the Beamish Living Museum.
