SW Ireland Experience
We booked a holiday with Mckinley Kidd to spend 6 days in SW Ireland based at Baltimore. They arranged our ferry crossings, a day whale watching - fabulous!!, a day with our own guide - taking us over to Cape Clear on the ferry and then looking for and at sea birds - brilliant!! We also had a day booked to go sea kayaking - sadly my husband had hurt his back so we didn't go. However, the days booked were thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel we stayed ...

McKinlay Kidd were excellent. Everything that they stated was booked - was booked!! The ferry crossings, hotel and days out all arranged perfectly. So helpful when booking and when we phoned to ask a few questions. The guide/tour leaders were really knowledgeable and experts in their fields . Also very friendly

great fun all along
We (a group of 8 French people) visited Devon and Cornwall in May in a privately chartered (comfortable) minibus. Accommodation (3 places) outstanding, guide and driver top notch, great sites, good food, yes (remember we're French !)

Outstanding Experience with McKinlay Kidd
My wife and I took a 10 night holiday in England, traveling to Oxford, Chipping Campden, Bath, and London. Our goal was to get outside of London, which we had visited twice before, and see parts of the country that would be new for us, while still having some time to explore London at the end of the trip. The end result was simply outstanding -- staying at marvelous, small hotels and guest houses, experiencing some amazing private tours, and enjoying incredible food and drink. Even the weather cooperated! It was an ideal vacation for us that went off without a hitch.

McKinlay Kidd did a superb job organizing the holiday. They listened to our requests & feedback... selected incredible accommodations... fashioned an excellent itinerary (including transportation and tours)... and were available whenever needed. Without hesitation, I would recommend McKinlay Kidd to others and, quite frankly, we hope to use them again in the future.

North 500 - Scotland's Answer to Route 66!
Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Rating for tour operator:

Our main comment re. the planning of the trip concerned the direction of travel, and the driving distances between locations being very varied.
We appreciate the feedback, but options for good accommodation are limited, and not evenly spread around the route, which presents challenges when tailoring each trip.

Tour of The Orkneys, Shetlands and Outer Hebrides
We experienced the history, scenery and crafts of Scotland.

The planning of the itinerary, communication, coordination of accommodation, flights, car hire, ferries was very well done. The presentation of the trip on an app made keeping track of our trip very easy. Communication with the tour operator during the trip was easy and prompt.

Leave it to the experts
Brilliantly organized. We told McKinley Kidd what we wanted and they did the hard work. The best guides the best accommodation and, amazingly, the best weather !

Magical Holiday
McKinlay Kidd organised a 10 day holiday with 5 different stays ranging from a small B&B to a grand hotel so we could tour the Outer Hebrides. The organisation of the holiday was first class, faultless. All the accommodation was of the highest standard with a warm welcome everywhere. The travel hints such as where to eat and what to see was a Godsend. They advised us to book the nominated restaurants before we travelled which we did. When we ...

The organisation of the holiday was first class, faultless. All the accommodation was of the highest standard with a warm welcome everywhere. The travel hints such as where to eat and what to see was a Godsend. They advised us to book the nominated restaurants before we travelled which we did. When we got there they were fully booked. The highlight of the trip was a visit to St Kilda, reserved by MKK. The boat company texted us to confirm the trip was on, so we just had to turn up. The time of one ferry was changed and again MKK phoned us to make us aware of the alteration. Overall we were delighted with the service and would certainly use them again.

Exquisite scenery, extraordinary hospitality
We started in Edinburgh and then took the train to beautiful Pitlochery where we took long quiet walks to to salmon ladders, historic distilleries and enjoyed a bagpipe parade. Inverness offered picturesque walks along the River Ness and fine dining. We enjoyed the excellent museum at Colloden Battlefield and we enjoyed unique used book store. From Inverness we traveled to Kyle of Lochalsh where we rented a car to travel to Isle if Skye. Though the weather was wet we enjoyed a hike to Old Man of Storr and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Three Chimneys. From Skye we took the ferry from Armadale to Mallaig and picked up the Jacobite steam train to Ft. Williams. Breathtaking scenery the entire route. We enjoyed a lovely evening at Spaen Bridge and then finished our trip from Spaen Bridge to Glasgow. All of our accomodations were top notch and the meals were wonderful.
