Reviews of McKinlay Kidd

An adventure in the Outer Hebrides
As a couple who enjoys their world-wide adventures, we looked for something we could do on home territory. I contacted McKinlay Kidd as experts in Scotland, and they put together a tailor-made itinerary for us, booking all hotels and ferries. The whole trip exceeded our expectations, not just the wild scenery, but the welcome we were given, the wonderful hotels and B&Bs and the history we learnt about these islands.

We had never used McKinlay Kidd before, but despite the difficulties for them working from home, they were extremely efficient and fast! All the information was provided via an App - given us travel directions as well as local information on what to do and see.

Incredible week in the Scottish Highlands
We had contacted McKinlay Kidd to enquire about a holiday that would allow us to visit the more remote parts of Scotland and enjoy lots of walking. They came up with a customised itinerary that far exceeded our expectations in terms of ease, quality of accommodation, as well as access to insider tips on where to eat, shop, and explore. We had the most delightful 7 days moving from Pitlochry to Inverness to the Isle of Skye and finally to the enchanting Inverlochy Castle hotel. The food was outstanding; whoever might say that British cuisine is lacking in any way has not experienced the culinary art on show at the Killiecrankie Hotel or Kinloch Lodge! All in all, we got what we were looking for: a seamless vacation to the Scottish countryside that combined first class accommodation with insider tips on where to walk and explore. Superp Holiday -- cannot say enough good things about it.

Mckinlay Kidd were absolutely top class all the way through. They designed a perfect holiday tailored to our needs and wishes. At every juncture there was up to date information about our destinations, complete with a view on what is happening related to the Pandemic. The local information and tips for where to explore, shop, and eat were well presented and incredibly high quality. They were highly responsive and incredibly accommodating in every way.

Lived up to our expectations
We arranged this holiday to celebrate our 70th birthdays, Ten years ago we travelled Canada for a month around the maritime route, we had heard so much about Scotland being very much like Canada we decided that in this special year we would tick this box off our bucket list, found McKinley Kidd on the internet, spoke to one of their advisors who was extremely helpful and who came back to us with an itinerary for us to agree and within no time ...

The trip lived up to all our expectations, and will look forward to visiting some of the islands in Scotland next year.

Organised a good itinerary in a difficult year and who coped excellently when things went wrong (not through any fault of theirs).

Land on the Sand at Barra
The experience of landing on a beach runway in a tiny twin otter plane. The island of Barra and its neighbouring island of Vatersay’s glorious white sandy beaches, scenery and laid back friendly vibe. Wish we could have stayed longer.
