We stay in student accommodation which made it easy to provide 30+ single rooms. This was a short trip (4 days) but plenty was crammed in. We went to Lindisfarne and had a boat trip to the Farne Island with puffins and other fledging sea birds. Expert leaders on the Northern saints and history of the early Church.

This was a second pilgrimage. Both were very well organised and in both cases a second group was created because of large waiting lists for any cancellations!! Many who had gone in 2015 went this year.

Very enjoyable, ideal for those that have an interest in Religion and History. A varied timetable of activities which gives you a good favour of the area around Durham. I would now love to go back and spend longer in some of the places we visited and also have a list of other locations on my bucket list. The food was lovely, varied - something for everyone.

The leaders and guides were excellent and shared their enthusiasm and love of their part of the world - well worth the time and money, I would definitely recommend. The company couldn't do enough, they were always around keeping an eye on things - pointing people in the right direction and nothing was too much trouble.

Fantastic pilgrimage around the Holy Land. Wonderful to see the sights, particularly Jerusalem and the area around Lake Galilee.

The holiday went off without hitch.

This is the first time we have been on an organised holiday and the first time in Northern Italy. We had a wonderful time. we saw so much of Italy's ancient mosaics and frescos with knowledgeable local guides who smoothed the way for us to pack in much more than we would have managed on our own. It was lovely to share the experience with like-minded 'pilgrims' and it has whetted our appetite for more.

Booking the holiday was made very easy by McCabe Pilgrimages. The accommodation, guides, coach driver and leaders of the holiday were excellent. The locations and sites visited were well chosen and well planned. It was a remarkable experience.

McCabe Pilgramages organised the whole tour very well. Their experience in this field is obvious through the good planning and booking systems.

A very good holiday covering a lot of ground in a short space of time. We covered from North to South of Greek mainland and saw some wonderful sites along the way. A good balance between site seeing and relaxation time.

This is the 2nd time we have travelled with McCabe. They are professional and efficient and would recommend them.

Organised, efficient, caring and accomodating

I had never been to Israel but it was on my wish list even though I thought I would never get there. We had 8 full days around Jerusalem and the Sea of Galilee. Just being in the land where Jesus walked and visiting the sites and places relating to Jesus was mind blowing. The places we saw and all that I experienced has changed my life; brought my faith alive and transformed my thinking. I feel like a new woman having been on Holy Ground!

McCabe handle everything for the pilgrimage to the Holy Land and ensure using great hotels, tour guides and coach companies and great lunch stops that all of this helps the pilgrim to engage with the sites and places we visit. The local guide ensures that everything is put into context: geography, history, local issues and Jesus teaching and the group leader adds to this with readings, prayers and hymns. of course whatever the pilgrim puts into the pilgrimage is key, otherwise its just a holiday. A great experience and totally recommend McCabe for a life changing experience!!
