The first couple days were very interesting and then unfortunately I was taken ill so I missed out on the majority of my Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. As I was so looking forward to this whole experience , I was very upset about what happened.

The information and paperwork distributed by the tour operator was of a very good standard .

We had a very varied taste of Romanian culture and history and saw many beautiful sights, especially the painted monasteries of Bucovina. The hotels were good and the travel by coach was comfortable and carefree; the driver was excellent. Our Romanian guide was well-informed and looked after us very well. Definitely a good experience.

We have travelled on tours organised by McCabe several times. They have always given us very good service, with good leaders and lots of interesting places to see. They know the areas of the trips very well, and always look after their customers well.

WE WERE EXTREMELY FORTUNATE TO HAVE OUR LOCAL GUIDE HANI. HE BROUGHT THE BIBLE TO LIFE IN HIS EXPLANATIONS OF THE DIFFERENT HOLY SITES AND THE HISTORY OF ISRAEL. OBVIOUSLY OUR TIME IN ISRAEL WAS LIMITED BUT THE SITES COVERED GAVE US AN EXCELLENT INSIGHT INTO JESUS'S LIFE AND WORK. AT VARIOUS POINTS WE HAD BIBLE READING WHICH WERE RELATIVE TO THE SITE AND COMMUNION WHICH ALL ENHANCED THE EXPERIENCE. ONLY ON ONE OCCASION IN BETHLEHEM DID WE ENCOUNTER AN OFFICIOUS GREEK PRIEST WHO MOVED US ON WHEN WE STARTED A READING. OUR HOTELS WERE VERY DIFFERENT - THE GOLDEN WALLS IN JERUSALEM WAS A CITY HOTEL AND BEING REFURBISHED WHEREAS THE RON BEACH IN TIBERIAS WAS A SEASIDE HOLIDAY HOTEL AND VERY GOOD. THIS WAS NOT A HOLIDAY BUT AN EXPERIENCE AND VERY TIRING AT TIMES. THE TEMPERATURES REACHED 36-40 DEGREES WHICH MADE WALKING AROUND THE HOLY SITES EXHAUSTING. WE WERE TAKEN TO 2 EMPORIUMS FOR BUYING PRODUCTS BOTH OF WHICH WERE A BIT INTIMIDATING.

THE ORGANISATION WAS FAULTLESS EXCEPT FOR ONE LUNCH ARRANGEMENT WHEN THE CONVENT WASN'T EXPECTING US. I BELIEVE THAT THE TOUR AGENTS SENT EMAILS ARRANGING LUNCH TO THE CONVENT BUT DIDN'T RECEIVE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS. PERHAPS A PHONE CALL BY THE TOUR AGENTS WOULD HAVE CONFIRMED THE LUNCH BOOKING. OF COURSE I AM NOT IN POSSESSION OF THE ACTUAL FACTS. THE CONVENT PRODUCED A MEAL FOR 28 PEOPLE WITHIN AN HOUR. THE FOOD WAS VERY WELCOME.

Not just a holiday but a wonderful pilgrimage experience ably led by Father Brian Ralph.

Holiday was so good I would not hesitate booking with Mccabe again and will thoroughly recommend them to others.

My trip to Israel with McCabe was not just a holiday. It was truly a pilgrimage. I was very impressed by McCabe - their organisation, itinerary and accommodation. I felt that I was in good hands all the way through. But what really made the pilgrimage for me was how they provided us with time at significant sites to reflect and take in our surroundings. And the local guide whom they provided was amazing. I have been on trips to Israel before, but this one will stay with me for ever.

The painted monastery holiday was excellent. Our tour guides (both the Mcabe and the country guide) were exceptionally knowledgeable and had researched extensively. They were both very keen to pass on as much knowledge as they possibly could but, on reflection, it was possibly a little too much for me to take in. Whilst it was good to see and do as much as possible, I feel I would have appreciated some free time or a slightly slower pace.

McCabe are a very professional organisation. Their paperwork is easy to read and instructions were clear to follow. I felt all correspondence was clear and honest and there was nothing 'hidden'.

Pilgrimage involving 5 nights at Golden Walls Hotel in Jerusalem and 4 nights at Ron Beach in Tiberias. Good guide, good hotels, good food, good coach driver; perhaps one or two churches too many.

A 10 day pilgrimage based in Jerusalem and the Galilee. Itinerary brilliant. Air travel, local guide and bus driver all excellent. Hotels well appointed for visiting the various sites. Lovely places with welcoming staff. No problems, a totally smooth operation.

This was my 20th trip to the Holy Land. I have used McCabe over the years and would not want to use anyone else.
