Very physically demanding but spiritually rewarding

Have used them for years. Very happy with them.

Touring the east bank of the Jordan and visiting the many historic sites was both spiritually uplifting and culturally superb. The Jordanian people are hospitable and dignified. The Levantine fare embedded the holiday into my memory!

McCabe are an experienced pilgrimage tour operator with excellent local partners.

An informative, both historical and spiritual trip. Enabling me to engage with the New Testament in a 'real' sense, visiting the ruins of 1st Century cities where the early Christians had their communities. It helped greatly to compare and contrast the issues facing the early Church and that of today.

Excellent support and communication from a company that is very knowledgeable of the sector in which they operate.

Mostly as itinerary but cut short by bombing of Iran.

In constant contact with leader and sorted out homeward travel arrangements quickly and efficiently once British Airways cancelled our return flight from Amman. Could not praise them highly enough.

I enjoyed the holiday but would have liked a bit more free time. We seemed to be doing a lot of walking as a group.

McCabe Travel are very helpful and willing to answer any question. They are very easy to reach on the phone which is good. They seem very professional, and thorough in all their arrangements.

I will write a bit more as the feedback form for the trip is not working. The whole trip was wonderful, if a little too busy, but Egypt is a big country. I was glad we saw all that we did though. It was felt that some of the long lunches could have been shortened, thus giving us more time at some of the sites as there is so much to see and understand. It was also felt that after a long day out, dinner would have been nice in the hotels a bit more. I was expecting some more ‘meetings’ all together at the end of the day, but maybe that was not the purpose of this trip. The McCabe guides did all they could to enable everything to run smoothly, which it did. Just not enough time at some sites. So altogether, very successful.

We explored the Christian heritage sites as well as local sites in the main cities of these areas.

Excellent information provided - by email, documents, and by phone if any query arose during the booking and lead-in time. Staff are unfailingly polite, knowledgeable, and answer every query satisfactorily. Their contacts with local guides and tourist agencies help to ensure that the maintenance of the high standards which McCabe aim for .

One of the highlights was visiting The Painted Monasteries. I could have stayed and studied them for longer. Great architectural and painting works. Another highlight was the city of Bucharest and a visit to the People's Palace. One of the unique experiences was having a meal in ordinary people's homes, such as at the Honey House. Meeting country folk was seeing their way of life was very informative too. Every day had its own highlights in Moldova and Romania.

Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. I felt well looked after and in good hands. the holiday allowed us to do things which we could not have done as individuals. It was a happy and memorable holiday.

Lots of structure and good organisation to experience cultural and historical aspects of St Paul's second mission. We got the best out of the holiday also because our guide thought through how best to visit places which were known to be very busy with tourists. Her knowledge and understanding was a real pleasure to listen to.

Nothing was too of a problem for McCabe to be helpful towards those who are not so computer adept and lack certain resources!. They were flexible and supportive." Value for money" for the holiday was good. One could tell a lot of thought went into which hotel we could stay at and the extent of traveling, and time out for relaxation!
