Visiting places we have known about since childhood came to life when we were actually there. Standing in a little chapel in the Shepherds' Fields one could imagine the Holy Family being sheltered in a place much like it surrounded by the animals. The garden of Gethsemane was also amazing with the wonderful 2,000 year old trees under which Jesus prayed. The Sea of Galillee was as you imagined it to be. In fact most of the places were as you imagine they would be and the different churches were, mostly, quite beautiful. The holy sites and places of interest were wonderful and we saw so many different things stretching from the Dead Sea to the Golan Heights and McCabe Pilgrimages certainly had put on a first class trip. My only disappointment was the way the different religious groups running some of the churches behaved towards pilgrims. Also, having visited places like Amritsar's Golden Temple, the Dome of the Rock certainly did not feel like a happy or holy site. I hope the day will come when all people in these countries will live harmoniously and at peace.

McCabe Pilgrimages had put together an amazingly varied and interesting tour. Everything ran like clockwork and we always arrived in places on time. Both the driver and guide were first class. The hotels chosen were great. Whilst in Jerusalem it was lovely to be able to walk through the Damascus Gate into the old city of Jerusalem after supper and take in the atmosphere. In Tiberias we could swim in either the Sea of Galillee or the pool which was great as it was really hot. Lovely to sleep with the doors open and wake up to the sun rising over the lake. McCabes had chosen all venues well.

Very well organised and a very good guide accompanied us and kept us well informed at all times. Sometimes the guides organised for the individual sights were very difficult to hear clearly although very good at their subject they became at times too quick with their explanations. Some were definitely good Italianated English. This did not spoil the trip which was very well balanced and gave us what we wanted.

As represented by our guide the tour operator came out tops. In other words our Guide who was with us all the time was truly excellent.

It was my 2nd trip to The Holy Land && I had a marvellous time both times However I had a bad foot the 1st time & therefore foundation difficult to see everything. This trip was great ,my favourite place was Beth Lasham & Rev Mo Surrey was fantastic.

Everything was dealt with very professionally & all documentations was very easy to follow.

A well organised tour of all the sites of major interest in Iran. The highlights being The Imam Khomeini Square in Isfahan,Persepolis and Yazd. The group were well looked after by a very good guide and an excellent Driver given that the driving in Iran is indescribably bad! The Hotels were good and the meals were good quality and interesting when regional menus were chosen. The Guide was outstanding and well organised.

A well thought out tour given the amount of distance covered and all the places to visit. It was a huge benefit that all meals were provided and tips included in price of holiday.

Very easy to book and very efficient service

our holy land trip to JERUSALEM and TIBERIAS was all and much more than we expected.We had a wonderful guide and bus driver and saw some beautiful places and eat great food and had great service at both our hotels. There was 16 of us in our group and we had a holy time were JESUS WALK.

Our tour operator was great from start to finish,we will always use McCabe travel Ltd IF WE GO BACK AGAIN.

It was five nights in Jerusalem, with guided walks on the Mount of Olives and in the old city including the Via Dolorosa, and visits to Bethlehem, Hebron, Jericho, Qumran, Masada and the Dead Sea. This was followed by four nights in Tiberias by the Sea of Galilee with visits to Nazareth, the Golan heights, Capernaum and Tabgha and to Caesarea on the way back to Tel Aviv airport. We were accompanied throughout by an excellent Palestinian guide who was very knowledgeable and also very considerate and well organised and the tour was led very well by a Methodist minister and his wife and an Anglican vicar.

McCabe Pilgrimages provided us with great tour leaders and an excellent local guide who kept us well informed. Every detail was thought of and everything ran smoothly. We vsited a variety of sites, with a Christian emphasis but a chance too to see other aspects of the history of the area. Timings were good, we had plenty of time to see things and still got home at a reasonable time each day with time to relax. The choice of hotels was good and the food throughout was excellent with some lovely venues set up for lunch

This holiday had a good and sympathetic tour guide but was spoilt by trying to cram in too many visits to examples of medieval and renascence art which required considerable walking with a party with many over the age of 70. Hotel standards were mixed and the hotel in Venice was sub standard. The specialist guides tried to cram in far too much detail resulting in intellectual overload. This tour needs revision as to content and physical demands and the physical capabilities of he participants.

I have travelled with McCabe on one other occasion when the organisation was better. Booking and communication was good.

Excellent at all times

The tour covered an enormous amount of interesting sites but unfortunately many of them were very busy due to the large amount of people on pilgrimage.

McCabe Pilgrimages organised everything well and we were met at Heathrow and guided through the check in process and then well looked after at Tel Aviv.
