Art in Madrid was just what I expected.

Everything went smoothly. Our guide was fresh from having curated the Goya Portraits exhibition at the National Gallery.

Florence in the Renaissance

Guided tour of Florence. Stayed for a week in a very good hotel with an excellent location. Excellent leader and tour manager - both helped to make the trip enjoyable and rewarding. Only 18 of us, that made it a more personal experience. Ate in a different restaurant each night. I appreciated the all-inclusive price with no hidden extras.

Martin Randall organise cultural tours all over the world. I have never travelled with them before but I would have no hesitation about doing so again.

Rating for tour operator:

We have enjoyed over 25 holidays with MRT over the last 15 years and have always been delighted. Their efficiency, attention to detail both in the booking process and throughout the holiday are exemplary. The office staff and the tour managers cannot be faulted and the lecturers they are engage are expert in their field and make a very significant contribution to the holiday experience. We compare MRT's brochure with those of their competitors but just keep coming back to MRT.

Martin Randall Travel responded to this review on 01 Mar 2016:

Thank you for your very kind comments, Dr Sporton. We are delighted you enjoyed the weekend in Taunton, and look forward to seeing you again soon. With best wishes, from MRT.

one day out was so enjoyable felt like a complete mini holiday

visited London railway termini with lunch and coffee /tea breaks. Covered enormous range of interesting subjects peripheral to this central subject…e.g. art architecture, history, redevelopment. Highly recommended for those short of time to take longer break

Music in Paris

A well-designed tour featuring three operas and a concert, with a visit to the Louvre, a walking tour and a guided tour of the Palais Garnier. The lecturer was excellent and the tour was well managed. (Having both a tour manager and a lecturer is a feature of Martin Randell's tours, and it really makes a difference.)

Martin Randall Travel is a top of the range cultural tour operator. They use very good hotels and their packages strike the right balance between group dining and individual choice. They usually have a tour manager and an expert lecturer on each trip. They never disappoint.

I was testing this company as I'd read so much; nothing disappointed. Sanity saving help w Indian eVisa before departure answered all my doubt. There were so many little extras I'm spoilt for many other companies!.

Valetta Baroque Festival

Planned and led by Juliet Rix who has also written a guidebook on Malta. Malta has such rich offerings in terms of history from many periods that it is quite a feat to incorporate a broad range of places to visit into one week while at the same time giving some time for the concerts as well as a tiny amount of independence.

Provided a well planned holiday, demonstrated much agility and flexibility when circumstances changed, as they always do. Tour Manager had a nice sense of humour and balance and I felt no challenge was too much for him. Thank you Alberto.

The details were clear in the advance details and the representatives "on site" were helpful, friendly and delightful when engaged in conversation and entirely sympathetic and showed the enthusiasm which was evident from all the participants.

Christmas in Bruges, with excursions to Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels

I enjoyed spending Christmas away (for the first time), free of responsibilities, and in the company of like-minded travellers who wished to see and learn more about the history, art and architecture of the region, without being rushed or 'herded'.
