Instructive and enjoyable

Four days in Northumberland. Based in Newcastle we visited many places of interest relating to the period the Venerable Bede was living and working in the area. The tour was complemented by a series of lectures on the period, people who shaped the times and the works they produced.

Connoisseur's London

Visits to those parts/districts of London off the beaten track. The kind of holiday one talks about for days afterwards. For example, MRT took us to ST.Paul's to it's library where the curator/librarian was straight from central casting from Dickensian times. We had a trip to Draper's Hall and Guildhall to see the stunning reception rooms, and to learn some history. The guides/lecturers really do MRT proud - enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Rating for tour operator:

MRT seems to go that extra mile for it's guests/customers, and will spring a surprise at some stage of a tour. This one was no exception: the last morning we had lunch at the Athenaeum club. In my experience with other operators so far, I would place MRT at the top.

Facinating history, beautiful art and stunning opera in Vienna

I recently had my brain exercised and emotions engaged in a Martin Randall trip to Vienna. Whilst the main focus of the trip was the Hapsburgs, there was a special opportunity to also explore Secession architecture and enjoy a perfect night at the opera. Our guide was exceptional and he was well supported by a professional and efficient tour manager.

music and beautiful landscapes

Came from the U.S. to join Randall Schubertiade tour. Met the group in Zurich. The participants were mostly from Australia and new Zealand but enjoyed getting to know them very much. We attended numerous lieder and chamber music concerts in Kaufman concert hall in Schwartzenberg, Austria. We dined mostly in fine restaurants in the area. We also toured the art museum in Winterthur and the Kaufman museum in Austria. Everything was well organized, ...
