Thank you Mr Calvert, we appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We are aware of the issue with the sound quality, but rest assured, we are taking the necessary steps to ensure this doesn't happen again in the future. I am glad you enjoyed the event; we look forward to welcoming you on another History Weekend in the future. With best wishes, MRT.

Wonderful first experience of India

As India is so vast, I decided I needed a tour with a focus. I chose a tour focussing on the architecture and Art of the Moghals and Rajputs. Staying at Delhi, Agra, Nagaur,Jaipur and Jodphur, we were accompanied by an expert who has been actively involved in the restoration of some of the buildings we visited and had curated one of the art exhibitions we visited. We had excellent hotels, wonderful food as well as unexpected surprises (eating within Rajput palaces, firework display in a fort, drinks in a palace lit by hundreds of oil lampls). We also had opportunities to see something of contemporary India. A truly excellent tour.

Everything worked as scheduled without ever feeling that we were being "herded along" or pressurised. Excellent timekeeping, no hitches. There was also a degree of flexibility and efforts were made to listen to people's requests and organise around them.

A comprehensive cultural adventure around the Ethiopian Highlands.

An extensive tour of the wonderful landscape of the Ethiopian Highlands. Starting at the bustling capital, Addis Ababa and visiting the major historic sights, including Aksum and its' stelae field and tombs, the "new Jerusalem" and its' cathedrals, Lalibela and its many rock-hewn churches as well as more distant cave church sites and Lake Tana and the source of the Blue Nile and its' falls amongst several other fascinating places. It involved a clever mix of internal air and mini-bus travel to make the most of this large country often lacking in reasonable roads yet still driving through much of the most spectacular scenery between 5,0000 and 9,000 feet above sea level in order to be able to fully appreciate it. Accommodation was good and the food, both local and european was generally excellently organised. A truly memorable cultural adventure through this fascinating yet isolated Christian country.

Rating for tour operator:

Everything is brilliantly researched, planned, organised and delivered. It is fully packed with the most important sights and balanced with fascinating travel so, in practice, it represents excellent value for money as just about every thing is included so you can focus on getting the most from the experience and not having to deal with the otherwise time consuming travel arrangements and restaurant hunting in such a challenging country.

Very rich cultural experience

Castile and Leon: 10 days with an expert on all things Spanish (food and general culture as well as art and architecture). Excellent to visit Avila, Salamanca, Leon, Burgos and Segovia, as well as several smaller and more remote places, with such expert explanations and with intelligent and stimulating fellow-travellers

A comprehensive and well-managed architecture tour

We visited a wide range of public buildings and private homes in New England at the perfect time of the year to combine with leaf-peeping. The lecturer was extremely knowledgeable and the tour manager outstanding in her day-to-day organisation, and both were great company. Hotels and meals were excellent.
