Holiday of a lifetime?
Quito was an interesting city with a variety of activities on offer. The experience on the 4 day train journey through Ecuador had some amazing scenery with spectacular views of the volcanos and rural life. The visits to the islands of the Galápagos and the opportunity to see the unique wildlife was an unforgettable experience. Top of my bucket list for holidays!

Once in a lifetime trip - Ecuador and Galapagos
The combination of a city visit (Quito), a train journey (Trencrucero) and a cruise around the Galapagos was a wonderful experience

We have traveled with Kudu several times and have never been disappointed. They are expensive but the value for money is excellent. They really take care of their clients and handle all arrangements efficiently. Our holidays have been entirely relaxing and worry-free

A Passage to Mani in the footsteps of Paddy Leigh Fermor
A fascinating trip following in the footsteps of Paddy Leigh Fermor from Northern Greece to his house in the Mani in the extreme south, with readings along the way to bring this erudite and ebullient travel writer to life

We have used Kudu travel in Albania and Armenia and have been impressed with the efficiency and knowledge of the guides and the well planned combination of walking, sightseeing and fine eating and drinking.

Greece-Walking in the Footsteps of Patrick Leigh Fermor
This new and original tour is based on the writings of Patrick (Paddy) Leigh Fermor who wrote about his walking experience in Greece in the mid fifties. The tour is best described as a walking cultural tour and has been well designed by Ruth Hackney, who lives in Areopolis in the Mani. It is a very interesting experience which enables one to get a good perspective on the extreme hardships experienced by the Greeks in this part of the southern Peloponnese as well as the unforgiving and beautiful land they lived in. One can also experience the local cuisine in the different regions visited.

This was the first time we have travelled with Kudu and we felt that they lived up to their reputation

Kudu Travel: Walking in Greece in the Steps of Paddy Leigh Fermor
This was an imaginatively designed walking trip taking in mountainous and the Peleponese regions of mainland Greece in a party of 12 or so. We knew some but not all of the others whom we found v congenial. The lead guide was outstanding, reliable and delightful. The hotels and meals were excellent. The variety of experiences good. The only problem was 3/4 days of rain - some v heavy.

This is our only experience so far of Kudu who seemed reliable and imaginative. The main plus was the excellent guide.

Understanding the impact of the Traders, Invaders and Persuaders
Gaining insight into an "unknown" part of the world and events that have taken place there, some of which have impacted on Western Europe. Seeing and experiencing those places with magical names heard in childhood.

Walks and Music in Austria and Hungary, with Opera in Vienna
A wonderful combination of walking, concert going, museums and sight seeing. This holiday was partly in a popular city and partly off the more beaten tracks. We also enjoyed local cuisine and drinks. It was most enjoyable to visit the small town of Rust on the Neusiedler See and see the storks and to travel by ferry into Hungary and interesting to see rural Hungary. The stay at Schloss Kapfenstein was magical.

A specialist company, which provides a range of holidays. Most holidays have a degree of walking, but not necessarily strenuous. The trips often combine a range of interests, history, architecture, music, flora and wildlife, local culture and cuisine.

A very well thought-out itinerary and an excellently-led trip.
Kudu devised a very well-balanced itinerary with a good mix of culture, walking and local lifestyle (wine tasting, cheese tasting, olive grower visit, flamenco performance etc). Our hotels were delightfully characterful and Kudu arranged excellent restaurant visits enabling us to sample a wide range of dishes and wines. The holiday was not cheap but, with all the attention to detail by the organisers, was good value for money.

Too much time spent motoring on a non sailing yacht
This holiday was advertised as "sailing and walking the Dalmatian coast". In reality the yacht was a motor boat dressed as a sailing boat. We spent a lot of time motoring in order to cover the distances between idestinations leaving very little time for swimming, snorkeling or walking and site seeing on shore.

We previously used kudu to travel to Granada and Córdoba and found the trip we'll run and informative. By comparison this trip was shambolic.
