Croatia, Sailing to Dubrovnik by Granitoid, 9 Oct 2016

Too much time spent motoring on a non sailing yacht

This holiday was advertised as "sailing and walking the Dalmatian coast". In reality the yacht was a motor boat dressed as a sailing boat. We spent a lot of time motoring in order to cover the distances between idestinations leaving very little time for swimming, snorkeling or walking and site seeing on shore.

We previously used kudu to travel to Granada and Córdoba and found the trip we'll run and informative. By comparison this trip was shambolic.

Places and experiences that I could never have managed as an independent traveller

Wonderful meals, lovely local hotels, excellent leaders and experiences that I would never have managed alone - the stand-out and unforgettable memories are of walking in the Bieszczady hills (and a wonderful hotel in Wetlina) and a visit to the old synagogue in Lancut.

Superbly organised from start to finish - from the booking experience to the journey home. The sort of interesting independent hotels that I would have chosen myself as an independent traveller and wonderful food and drink showcasing the local cuisine. A small group and experienced knowledgeable leaders. Everything was smoothly and flawlessly organised, while still letting us feel that we could move independently if we wished.

Walking and Whales on the Azores by Letsgo, 24 Aug 2016

Amazing Azores

We spent 8 days spent exploring 3 of the Azores islands and we could have spent another 8 days. These are hidden gems, packed full of wildlife, history, geographical features and island charm.

Kudu Travel go that extra mile and find unusual places to stay and lots of varied activities to do each day. The new hotel in Pico was outstanding in every way. Kudu thoroughly research every detail and make sure everything is of the highest quality. They find amazing restaurants and with all meals and drinks included you can spend all the time enjoying the holiday to the full.

Walks & Music at Gstaad Festival by pjwilliamsna, 3 Aug 2016

An outstanding week of mountain wildflower walks and chamber music concerts

We stayed in an excellent Swiss hotel near Gstaad. Each morning, after a superb full breakfast, we used the wonderful railways and mountain gondolas to enjoy alpine wildflower-bedecked walks and picnics. In the early evenings door to door transport was provided to and from four excellent concerts after which we could enjoy the hotel's outstanding selection of cheeses and desert.

Walking and Whales on the Azores by Happy Helen, 28 Jul 2016

The best of both worlds - land and sea

The Azores is an amazing archipelago, each island is unique with beautiful views, unusual varieties of wild flowers and plants. The sea offers an amazing array of whales and dolphins whose antics are a joy to behold. There are some spectacular walks especially round the rim of the caldera on Faial. The local wines are very good and as expected some very tasty fish and sea food. The ferries between islands are very efficient and makes travelling ...

Finland: Savonlinna Opera by music and lakes lover, 27 Jul 2016

Discovering Finland

This was an exceptionally well-organised, all-inclusive week, relaxed and fun but with memorable music events (Kuhmo chamber music festival; two superb operas in the famous Savonlinna castle)and visits to out of the way places, including Sibelius' house. The choice of restaurants was delightful and first class.

I have the highest praise for our two tour guides who remained on top of things throughout the trip while remaining relaxed and fun and caring. The amount of research they had done before the trip, their tireless attention to detail and the choices made for us were exceptional. I felt very safe and looked after and free to join in or not as the mood took me. Given the first class nature of everything on the trip (hotels; restaurants; opera tickets, etc,) it was very good value for money.
