A No. 1 Botswana experience with a Vic Falls finale

We are two No. 1 ladies who have just reached that significant age when you tend to become more 'traditionally built'. For us this was the trip of a lifetime. Best friends for more than 40 years, we have finally graduated to 'big time' travel. We drifted tranquilly in mokoro canoes under the setting African sun. We were astounded by the wildlife - so much, so close, so intimate. We wept when we soared in a plane over the Okavango Delta at the beauty below us. And we sobbed again when we circled in a helicopter high above Victoria Falls. We giggled uncontrollably every time we had to go 'pee pee' behind our tent in the middle of the night. We laughed till we cried as photos of two English ladies in sun hats. Our recommendation? Put Botswana to the top of your bucket list.

Cordilliera Blanca in Peru, July 2014

Very well prepared and organised trip; trekking through remote valleys and climbing summits over 6000m. Great recognition and respect for local supporting crew, local people and local nature. True adventure, but very well planned, including perfect acclimatisation. Excellent trip leader.

GR20 Corsica - The Complete Rout by tinkerbelladventures, 4 Aug 2014

The real GR20

So many walkers try to do this trail independantly and quite at Vizzavona (half way) and many of the other trekking companies do not offer to cover the entire route faithfully. KE Adventure's trip was faithful to the route and using local Corsican guides (unlike some of the other large trekking companies) meant that we not only had a fantastic trip we also learnt a lot about the local landscape, history of the island and people. Our guide was very knowledgeable, very supportive to group members over the difficult terrain. The route is arduous to say the least compared to other European long distance trails and is not for the faint hearted or unfit. The refuges are basic and sometimes there is a need to camp, but sleeping in the mountains more than makes up for this. I would thoroughly recommend this trek for anyone with good fitness and who loves scrambling in mountains and KE Adventures provide a great means to access this trek with a good local guide and support.

Rating for tour operator:

KE provided good information about the trip prior to booking and staff were very helpful with any questions I had. I think there trip notes could be more detailed so that individuals have a better sense of the challenge they are signing up for, or at least encouraged to read guides on the route.

Best of Tour du Mont Blanc

This tour was exactly as the title says, 'The Best!' The hiking was incredible with wonderful scenery. The accommodations were brilliant allowing an environment for the team to relax and rest at night to gear up for our days of hiking. Our guide was phenomenal and you could tell loved his job and was very knowledgable about mountaineering and the local area. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!!!

We booked this climbing trip with KE Adventure following online research and visiting the office in Keswick. Every aspect of the trip met and exceeded our expectations. The trip was well organised with exceptional guides, Klemen Gricar and Rocio Siemens working hard to ensure both the safety and enjoyment of all participants on the trip. The climb was hard but we were encouraged and supported throughout by the guides. The base accommodation of Yeti Lodge in Chamonix was excellent. This is a difficult trip with 2 climbs on glaciers at altitude. The nature of the trip makes it very susceptible to weather conditions and the guides were continually checking the latest reports to ensure it was safe to climb and to adjust the itinerary to provide the best chances of safely summiting both mountains. Nobody should be in any doubt that this can be a dangerous trip and the use of experienced, professional guides is essential. Safety has to be paramount and the desire to summit at all costs can not be allowed to prevail ahead of safety. This was brought home with the death of 2 climbers elsewhere on Mont Blanc the day we successfully summited and a further 2 climber deaths just 2 days later. Anybody wishing to embark on a trip like this should carefully check that the guides employed by the travel company are suitably qualified and experienced ahead of all else.

Rating for tour operator:

KE Adventure were able to answer all questions prior to the trip and were happy to do so. The cost of the trip was comparable to other companies with all inclusions and exclusions clearly explained in advance. The trip brochure was very detailed, explaining all the necessary requirements and providing detailed information on the format of the trip while making it clear that all aspects were weather dependent.

This was a great holiday. WALKING IN THE This was a great holiday. Walking & camping in the High Taurus mountains gave us the rare privilege of being in a wilderness. It was also great to round off the trip with a little bit of luxury in the fairy tale landscape of Cappadocia after 8 nights in tents.

Turkey - Trekking in the Taurus Mountains and Cappadocia

A great trip - a couple of nice easy warm up walking days in the Taurus mountains with some campsites in great locations, followed by some tougher trekking days as we got higher into the mountains - amazing scenery. Then three days taking in all the sights of Cappadocia to finish, staying in some nice hotels - perfect after 8 nights in tents in the mountains!

I have travelled with KE Adventure before and they have always been excellent. All aspects of the trip were great - local transport arrangements, campsites and camping equipment, amazing food provided by a great chef on the trek! And our walking guide Orhan was excellent - a perfect mix of mountain guide and culture tour leader.
