I had the opportunity to visit Japan and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I traveled independently which allowed me to have the freedom to do what I wanted and also at the pace that I wanted.

Inside Japan Tours helped to make my trip headache free even though I was traveling on my own. I was able to experience the country at my own pace and at the same time didn't have to think about all the other logistical issues. They were very helpful in the planning process and also in my time in Japan.

We wanted a self-guided holiday to Japan, but with the planning and back-up of experts in the field as it was our first visit to Japan and we wanted to visit 8 separate destinations! IJT were able to suggest the best route and provided the expertise with booking hotels and ryokans within our budget, and organising a rail pass for us to get from place to place. We couldn't have been happier with the results and the first hotel we arrived at in Tokyo had one of the best views we've ever seen .. Our consultant had listened carefully to our wishes and stipulations and put together a great trip and was also able to offer suggestions which enhanced the overall experience.

Inside Japan Tours in Bristol inspired confidence from our very first contact with them. All staff we spoke with had spent substantial amounts of time in the country, many speaking Japanese, and have detailed local knowledge of the country and personal experience of the hotels offered in their brochure. The information packs supplied to us were the most comprehensive we have ever received from a tour company, and the personal recommendations and tips were very useful. We felt well supported, but with the freedom to travel independently, in the knowledge that if anything went wrong IJT's local company in Japan would be there to help us - but everything was perfect throughout the whole holiday.

We were a family of three traveling with a toddler and the folks at IJT made the planning a breeze. We wanted to hit the main sights (Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone) but also wanted to visit Snow country (Hakuba, Nozawa Onsen). IJT delivered in a big way. They worked with our budget and execution of the trip was a breeze (toddler tantrums notwithstanding). It was a fairly intensive itinerary but IJT managed to make it seamless. They were able to book us sumo tickets and a private tea ceremony experiences as well as decent private guides in Tokyo and Kyoto. We would consider booking with them again or using them for trips to SE Asia.

IJT fully customized our trip. We did not want to be part of a tour but wanted the logistics planned out for us. They were helpful and delivered on some special requests we wanted.

InsideAsia Tours organised a fantastic week in Japan for us, covering everything from a modern city break with luxurious hotels to a romantic stay on a rural island. The itinerary included all accommodation, a trip to see the famous Takarazuka review, and a food tour to taste the local specialities. Sucks to be home!

I have used InsideAsia Tours three times now to organise holidays to Japan, and I am always very impressed with what they arrange. Japan is wonderfully diverse country - and we were able to visit eight fantastic places during our 16 day trip. As foodies, we let the cuisine lead us from the sushi of Tokyo to the beef of Takayama, to the tofu of Mount Koya and the octopus balls of Osaka. Just, yum. We were also taken back by the cleanliness and level of safety across Japan - a contrast to our lives in London - not a single bike had a lock! The Japanese people were so, so friendly - always wanting to practice their English and offer gifts. In particular, when staying in the traditional ryokans we were amazed by the staff - ladies would scurry up and down stairs to deliver about 20 delightful dishes of food to your room - so fresh and limitless! It was so intriguing to live this simple style of life, sharing public baths and truly relaxing. This was lovely after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo - where we embraced the fast pace of anime and street feasts with eager eyes, and tummies! The landscapes and the religion were so interesting to explore - and our guides were keen to explain everything to us. We also took time to explore 'real' Japan through sake and shochu- they know how to have fun, and it is not expensive as it used to be! We have been lucky to have travelled in many places. Yet this was our favourite trip ever due to the endless things to experience, and the simplicity of travelling around. Japan - we will be back!

InsideJapan tours made everything so simple. We only enquired a couple of months before we intended to visit - yet they managed to get everything in place, as well as adapting the tour to our wants. On arriving in Japan, our first hotel had every single travel ticket we needed - all perfectly labelled! Everything was so smooth - and we read their personalised city guides from front to back, following recommendations which were great. They had also arranged for three different guides to meet us in different cities - they were always on time, super friendly and ensured we got the most out of our visit.

These included recommendations for some of the main tourist attractions in Kyoto, Kobe and Nara, but also suggestions for visiting Arima Onsen and Kibune Shrine, which were both inspired. They sorted my accommodation, internal transfers, transport tickets for some excursions, sourced local guides and provided excellent holiday information booklets.

Indeed both felt like great friends by the end of each tour and that we had shared something magical together.

Japan Unmasked - went around the main tourist sites on the main island of Japan (Honshu). Time for onsen, good food, a bit of walking, stays in traditional ryoken, and even karaoke (optional!).
