Japan Honeymoon

InsideJapan Tours has friendly, attentive, detailed and knowledgeable staff in both the US and Japan. Because of this excellent service, we felt expertly guided yet independent during our time in Japan. It was a wonderful experience that we will always remember.

Amy carefully went through the process of planning this trip with us from beginning to end. She was very patient and thoughtful when finding out the kind of experience we wanted in Japan, and helped us decide which cities to stay in. She also consulted us on activities we could afford according to our budget. There were a lot of decisions up front to make with Amy, but this made for an enjoyable and smooth trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Japan and credit this experience to Amy's consultation.

Fantabulous adventurous experience with great public transit, great food, great people, and a great tour leader.

I found Inside Japan Tours on Google while looking for a pop-culture tour for my 16-year-old daughter and I. Little did I know that it would be one of the most amazing trips of my lifetime -- which is saying something because I have traveled to 33 different countries. This is in no small part because of the generosity and sincere care shown by our tour guide Mark. The sense of fun inspired amongst the group was a huge part of the success of the tour...

Little did I know that it would be one of the most amazing trips of my lifetime -- which is saying something because I have traveled to 33 different countries. This is in no small part because of the generosity and sincere care shown by our tour guide Mark. The sense of fun inspired amongst the group was a huge part of the success of the tour. The entire group was always up for anything, and the context of the tour -- lots of urban walking, every conceivable form of excellent public transit (instead of a generic private hired bus), amazing hidden gems of restaurants -- encouraged our adventurousness to take free rein. I knew nothing about Japan before this tour, and now I feel I know so much, and yet am interested in learning even more. I strongly recommend InsideJapan Tours and Mark to anyone who wants to dive deep into Asia and have one heckuva lot of fun doing it.

Rating for tour operator:

They were excellent, finding perfect arrangements for convenient accommodations, great public transit connections, wonderful food, and great walking tours. Plus, big props for hiring Mark, the best tour guide I have ever encountered.

Amazing Japan

We had an extensive 3 week tour covering 2 of the main Japanese islands. We had guides on 2 days, the rest we travelled on our own. Japanis a very veried and very different country, with a very rich cultural heritage, and is beginning to open up to foreigners. Signs and messages in Englsh are now very common, indeed universal on Japan's fabulous and extensive rail network We were struck by the friendliness, helpfulness and honesty of people. They love harmony and beauty, but also tolerate ugliness, which is one reason why it is so fascinating.

Inside Japan Tours of Bristol put together a tour covering some 2,000 km. and a very varied selection of places to visit. They chose well; we felt we began to know Japan and its people. They selected varied accomodation within our budget; their choices were never less than good and often excellent. In quite a long tour we had maximum time to explore and never felt rushed. And the travel arrangements worked as well as Japan's fabulous rail system.

An 'off the beaten track' adventure of a life-time

I contacted InsideAsia Tours with some fairly general requirements for a trip to Japan, incorporating a course I'd booked independently and with lots of ' I've been there and done that' comments. They planned a tour which took in Matsumoto, Magome and Kyoto, across Shikoku to Kyushu. It met all my expectations and more and gave me the chance to experience a less touristy side of Japan which I absolutely loved. It was very well planned, the ...

June 15 - June 28 "Japan Unmasked" tour.

The tour went perfectly for our party of 3 including my wife and my grownup daughter. The price is very reasonable as compared with all the tours arranged by U.S. travel companies.

The leader Richard Farmer with an ideal personality and friendliness not only made us feel comfortable but also put together a best-managed tour package. Good in-depth knowledge on all the temples he took us to.

Exceeded all expectations: Holiday of a Lifetime!

The Hands On Japan Tour was wonderful organised - giving us a real flavour of the many facets of Japan, from capsule hotels and ultra modern city life, to small traditional villages and ryokans. The opportunity to try different activities (cloth-dying, soba noodle making, taiko drumming) were extremely fun and our tour leader was very engaging and informative. I would recommend this trip to anyone with an interest in Japan.

Everything was well-organised - ample information was provided in advance and they were most helpful at organising several extra things for us.

Thanks Neil, we love the Hands On Japan tour and I am delighted that you loved it too! Japan is such an incredibly diverse country and there is no better way to get beneath the surface than to participate in all these different activities.
