We visited Japan for 3+ weeks in May/June & visited Tokyo, Kanazawa, Shirakawago, Takayama,Matsumoto,Tsumago, Kyoto, Osaka & Hiroshima. We included Sumo competition, Tea Ceremony, Home Cooking Class, & a Baseball Match as well as having personal guides in Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka. The information booklets provided by Inside Japan Tours comprehensively guided us through all destinations without fuss or problems & the accommodation at Business Hotels & traditional Ryokans was outstanding. We were amazed at the beauty & cleanliness of Japan & the high level of attention to detail in everything from transport systems to food preparation & even the style of uniforms. People were kind, considerate, polite & helpful & we had had a wonderful feeling of personal safety throughout our stay. We are already planning a return visit !

Inside Japan Tours are exceptional, taking personal customer service to a level we have never experienced before. They contacted us before, during & after our holiday always wanting to know if they could help in any way. Even after hours phone numbers were provided to help out if a problem arose, but due to their detailed preparation this was unnecessary.

My daughter and I took an 8-day trip to Japan. We had Inside Japan Tours organize our trip for us. They arranged our hotels, travel inside Japan (not flights), and a variety of events we participated in. We had excellent tour guides for our first days in Tokyo and Kyoto. We also participated in calligraphy and sushi-making lessons, both of which were very informative and fun. The maiko-makeover for my daughter, during which she was made up head-to-toe as a Geisha was fantastic. The pictures were awesome. We had enough fun that we're really looking forward to returning to Japan soon.

Inside Japan Tours worked very well with us to make sure that we got to do exactly what we wanted to during our visit to Japan. We had numerous events planned out in advance and they all turned out very well. On our non-preplanned days, IJT had great recommendations for what we could do. They also provided us with prepaid IC (subway) cards and JR rail passes. They also set up hotels with free breakfasts.

Went to Japan for 16 days on a self guided tour from insidejapan tours. My travel consultant Clint was wonderful in scheduling accommodations and activities that fit with my interests. Loved all of it. Learned so much about Japan and their customs. Will definitely be going back to experience more of Japan.

I have always wanted to visit Japan so after much research my husband and I chose Inside Japan Tours and approached them with a long list of 'must see' places. With help and advice from our Inside Japan travel consultant, we combined two 'ready made' itineries - Traditional Japan fhe first two weeks and a Kumano Kodo hike in the final week. This allowed us to visit Tokyo, Kanazawa and many fascinating places en route to Kyoto. In the week in between, we visited Yakushima via Hiroshima and Miyajima and back via the art island of Naoshima. We explored wonderful gardens, art galleries, museums, castles, temples and shrines. We also had some beautiful hikes and walks in the mountains with ancient trees and dramatic waterfalls. We ate some fantastic food and met some lovely people. With our Japan Rail passes and the detailed Info Pack provided by Inside Japan we made good use of Japan's impressive public transport. We found Japan to be a charming and fascinating country and are saving up to go back to explore further north - we won't hesitate to enlist the services of Inside Japan Tours again!

The brilliant service provided by Inside Japan helped to ensure that we had the most fantastic trip - we saw so much and didn't waste a moment, but still had an totally relaxing time. Worth every penny. Communication and information provided in the UK and in Japan were excellent. In the UK our travel consultant was friendly and knowledgeable helping us to create an itinerary that included our diverse interests from modern art and cultural history to hikes in the mountains away from it all. We received instant and reassuring assistance from both him and the Inside Japan office in Nagoya when an earth quake and torrential rain slightly altered our plans mid trip.

My boyfriend and I booked a self-guided tour of Japan through Inside Japan Tours. Our tour included hotels in Tokyo, Hakone, and Kyoto, transportation on subways and bullet trains, a sushi breakfast, and a tour guide for 1/2 day in both Tokyo and Kyoto.

Inside Japan Tours provided fantastic guidance before the trip. For a self-guided tour, the Trip Info-Pack they provided with step-by-step instructions to navigating the trains and subways, information on all of the tour cities, and restaurant recommendations was invaluable. The Info-Pack allowed us to be self-sufficient travelers.

My husband and I went to Japan on our honeymoon. With the help of Inside Japan, we were able to see all of the things we wanted to see and more. Since our accommodations were booked for us, we didn't have to worry about losing a reservation or accidentally booking a bad hotel.

Our tour guides in Tokyo and Kyoto were fantastic! Our husband and I didn't really have places in mind to go, but our guides picked out the perfect places to take us and were so knowledgeable about the area. I wish we could have had them as tour guides for longer!

Inside Japan were fantastic before and during my trip. They helped me plan my itinerary, organised my accommodation, booked fantastic cultural experiences for me like a pottery and calligraphy classes. They gave me all the tips I needed to have a smooth and enjoyable trip and their depth of knowledge is invalueable. My consultant Rachel was wonderful and answered all my questions and concerns. I was in Japan during the Kumamoto earthquake but InsideJapan took care of everything. They organised new accommodation, cancelled and rearranged previous plans for me and helped ensure that I was safe and my adventures could continue despite the disaster.

2 weeks in Japan. Got to experience a wide swathe of Japan in a short time. And lots of cherry blossoms :)

Inside japan Tours organised ab independent tour for us to enable us to visit our son and family in Kobe and also to spend three days on the island of Shikoku.

We have travelled 9 times with Inside Japan Tours. Each travel consultant is knowledgeable about Japan and supports us before, during and after the trip. They organise international flights, Japanese Rail passes,travel cards and accomodation vouchers to present at each hotel. In addition they supply a day-by-day itinerary listing transport details,maps,timetables, costs, suggested excursions from each location and a general guide to asist with language and customs.

In two weeks me and my partner travelled from Tokyo, to Takayama, Kyoto, Mount Koya, Osaka, Hakone then back to Tokyo. Although there was no shortage of fantastic experiences all that travelling really tested us. Our highlights are typically touristy, such as the the views from the top of Tokyo Skytree, visiting Ryoan-ji temple, experiencing the tea ceremony and seeing mount Fuji from the Shinkansen bullet train. I see this trip as a necessary one off tourist experience. My next trip, and there will be a next, will take me deeper into the culture of Japan.

InsideAsia were very helpful and accommodating with my planning for this trip. There isn't much to fault. The travel guides provided could have been more clearer. The directions and maps were at times rather vague and made travelling more complicated than it should have been. But on the whole InsideAsia had it covered. Each page alerted us on what we needed to do next.
