We had the most amazing holiday on safari at Siwandu followed by a relaxing stay on Mafia Island at Pole Pole. The services and facilities at both venues were fantastic and way above our expectations. Both venues are run in a professional, efficient and friendly way with excellent staff and great facilities.

Expert Africa were helpful and efficient and gave great advice on how to tailor our holiday to our needs. The staff were very knowledgeable and approachable.

Choosing a self drive safari in Namibia as a 70th birthday experience seemed quite bold to our friends and family, but with the support and advice of Expert Africa we had a stunning holiday. We felt safe at all times. The lodges and camps were well chosen, providing the luxury that we wanted, close to the real Namibia. Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable staff in amazing environments provided us with the holiday of a lifetime.

From an initial enquiry, to solving problems due flight delays, Expert Africa provided expert service. We have travelled with them before and once again they demonstrated a wide knowledge of local conditions, excellent communications and provided comprehensive information for our trip. We would happily travel with them again.

We (my husband and I) travelled to Namibia with Expert Africa. We visited Soussesvlei,Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, Damaraland, Etosha National Park, Okonjima Cheetah Reserve and Erongo Safari Lodge. We had a truly memorable holiday experience. We climbed sand dunes, kayaked with seals, saw some amazing geologic wonders and ancient cave art. We were fortunate enough to see a huge variety of wildlife. Overall an exceptional holiday.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience thanks to Expert Africa. The accommodation was above and beyond what we had hoped for. The trips and experiences we were lucky enough to have were very memorable. The whole holiday proceeded without a hitch thanks to the organization of Expert Africa. We hope to travel with them again soon and really hope to return to Namibia in the not too distant future.

The safari, to Selous and Ruaha, was the best we have ever been on, both in terms of the game to see and the quality of the accommodation. It was really well organised, and all went like clockwork but with a very human touch. The week we had on the north eastern Zanziabar coast aftervthe safari was really relaxing in a beautiful place with really good friendly service.

Expert Africa are excellent, both in terms of expert advice based on local knowledge, and superb organisation. We have used them before and would not hesitate to use them again.

Consistently reliable and knowledgeable

Our self drive trip to Namibia was fantastic, the accommodation selected by Expert Africa was in keeping with the feel of the trip. Conservation and ensuring minimum impact on the environment was central to all the areas we stayed in. We learned so much about Namibia, from the material we were given by Expert Africa and from the fantastic people we met in the lodges and camps throughout the trip. We were confident that our safety was a priority for Expert Africa and at all times we felt supported throughout the trip. The locations, accommodation and activities were all fantastic. Expert Africa selected accommodation that was in fitting with the environment, they had excellent support on the ground from Wilderness Safaris. They provided a book on Namibia as well as a short handbook with practical tips that really helped us throughout the trip. They even supplied a map with the route highlighted for us. Most of our correspondence was by email making it really easy to organise the trip at our convenience. However, as needed I was able to ring and speak to the staff member designated to organising our trip.

As we were visiting friends in South Africa, we decided, being so close, to arrange safaris in Botswana and Namibia. It could not have been better, from beautiful weather to excellent guides to superb camps to outstanding wildlife viewing. We stayed at Kwara, Lebala and Lagoon camps in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, and at Hoodia, Damaraland, Hoanib and Ongava Tented camps in Namibia. These 18 days were truly wonderful.

Expert Africa proved to be an excellent choice as our tour operator (Maruska handled our account). Their web site is well designed, and filled with valuable information to assist with planning, from weather conditions to medical considerations. We did not need to consult any other sources to learn the details that made our safaris so successful. We especially appreciated the write-ups by Expert Africa staffers who personally visited the camps. When our initial itinerary proved too pricey, Expert Africa (Maruska) put together an alternative that, while less expensive and within our budget, did not skimp on any important feature. We would definitely use Expert Africa for another African trip, and would not hesitate to strongly recommend them to our friends.

We wanted to see lots of wildlife and we were not disappointed. We stayed at two wonderful camps in the Mara with gold eco awards. We had the most amazing wildlife viewing with great abundance and diversity of animals. The knowledge and experience of our guides meant they could anticipate the animals behaviour so we had the privilege of watching them coming towards us. We therefore got very close views. They also understood the importance of lighting and positioning for photographs. We have been on many wildlife trips but this was our best.

We have travelled with Expert Africa on a number of occasions to different countries within Africa and have always had a fantastic holiday. The fact that they are a small operator covering just a small number of countries means they have extensive knowledge and personal experience of the places we want to visit. They are all passionate about Africa and it is great to be able to speak to someone who has been to the region regularly and visited the areas and camps we are considering. Our recent trip was to Kenya and the person who organised the trip for us is the author of the Rough Guide to Kenya. You really can't get someone who has more experience than that can you?

We spent 6 nights in South Luangwa National Park, followed by 7 nights on the shores of Lake Malawi. The holiday was excellent and complex transfers worked really well

Expert Africa listened to what we liked and didn't like and put a great trip together which worked like clockwork. Can't praise them enough.

We first visited Victoria Falls for 2 days, staying at the Elephant Camp, and as well as visiting the Falls, which were fabulous, we went on a local safari and amongst many other animals we were priviliged to see 7 rhinos. We then drove into Botswana and visitied 3 game lodges by air for 3 days apiece to view a wide range of animals before returning to Jo'burg to fly home.

The tour operator, Expert Africa, was very good. They designed a holiday which was excellent and ticked all the boxes.
