As we were visiting friends in South Africa, we decided, being so close, to arrange safaris in Botswana and Namibia. It could not have been better, from beautiful weather to excellent guides to superb camps to outstanding wildlife viewing. We stayed at Kwara, Lebala and Lagoon camps in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, and at Hoodia, Damaraland, Hoanib and Ongava Tented camps in Namibia. These 18 days were truly wonderful.

Expert Africa proved to be an excellent choice as our tour operator (Maruska handled our account). Their web site is well designed, and filled with valuable information to assist with planning, from weather conditions to medical considerations. We did not need to consult any other sources to learn the details that made our safaris so successful. We especially appreciated the write-ups by Expert Africa staffers who personally visited the camps. When our initial itinerary proved too pricey, Expert Africa (Maruska) put together an alternative that, while less expensive and within our budget, did not skimp on any important feature. We would definitely use Expert Africa for another African trip, and would not hesitate to strongly recommend them to our friends.

We wanted to see lots of wildlife and we were not disappointed. We stayed at two wonderful camps in the Mara with gold eco awards. We had the most amazing wildlife viewing with great abundance and diversity of animals. The knowledge and experience of our guides meant they could anticipate the animals behaviour so we had the privilege of watching them coming towards us. We therefore got very close views. They also understood the importance of lighting and positioning for photographs. We have been on many wildlife trips but this was our best.

We have travelled with Expert Africa on a number of occasions to different countries within Africa and have always had a fantastic holiday. The fact that they are a small operator covering just a small number of countries means they have extensive knowledge and personal experience of the places we want to visit. They are all passionate about Africa and it is great to be able to speak to someone who has been to the region regularly and visited the areas and camps we are considering. Our recent trip was to Kenya and the person who organised the trip for us is the author of the Rough Guide to Kenya. You really can't get someone who has more experience than that can you?

We spent 6 nights in South Luangwa National Park, followed by 7 nights on the shores of Lake Malawi. The holiday was excellent and complex transfers worked really well

Expert Africa listened to what we liked and didn't like and put a great trip together which worked like clockwork. Can't praise them enough.

We first visited Victoria Falls for 2 days, staying at the Elephant Camp, and as well as visiting the Falls, which were fabulous, we went on a local safari and amongst many other animals we were priviliged to see 7 rhinos. We then drove into Botswana and visitied 3 game lodges by air for 3 days apiece to view a wide range of animals before returning to Jo'burg to fly home.

The tour operator, Expert Africa, was very good. They designed a holiday which was excellent and ticked all the boxes.

We drove for 3 weeks around Namibia visiting places we hadn'tr been to on a previous holiday. The scenery is phenomenal and varied and a very safe country.

We hvae used Expert Africa to organise three trips. This time due to unrest in another country, we had to organise the holiday in 2 weeks. Maruske Adye was extremely knowledgable on Namibia, gave us greta advice and made the whole planni and booking extremely easy. We would (and have) strongly recomended Ecxpert Africa to friends.

Since my birthday and the solar eclipse were so close I decided to knock something off my bucket list as a birthday gift. My husband and I went to Tanzania on safari to see the solar eclipse and snorkel off Zanzibar. We spent time in Ruaha and Selous. Both parks had lovely "glamps" and plenty of game and bird sightings. I would not have gone to Tanzania except that the eclipse was best seen there. I was wrong. It was better than my previous trips to Namibia, South Africa, Zambia or even Botswana.

I have been to subsaharan Africa 7 times but this is the first time I used Expert Africa. Their website caught my eye and proved to be a superb resource. Ellie was prompt pleasant and professional. When I had trouble paying the final installment on the web I shot off an email and they returned it almost immediately (even though it was 1 AM GMT). Turned out it was my fault as I didn't know my husband had already made an account. I will use Expert Africa for any future travel to Africa even though they are in England and I am in the USA.

4 Nights at Lake Manze camp in Selous and 4 nights in Mwagusi camp,Ruaha.

An excellent 2 camp safari in Tanzania followed by a short stay in Stonetown, Zanzibar.

Very knowledgable and friendly. They clearly know their subject.

Two weeks in Tanzania: one on safari in Selous and Ruaha game reserves/parks in great lodges, going on thrilling games drives and spotting wonderful animals and birds. Followed by a week on Mafia and Chole islands in the Indian Ocean, relaxing, snorkelling and seeing baby turtles hatch.

Efficient, helpful, pleasant and ensured everything ran smoothly - excellent company.
