We travelled to Sri Lanka on a highlights tour. This was the first exotic holiday for a while so we were slightly apprehensive. There was no need as this was the most beautiful varied and interesting island to visit and completely safe. We had had a wonderful time and would visit again to visit other areas of the island. Our highlight was joining in a Poya Day celebration in Colombo on our last night. Elephants, dancers and rhythmic drummers it was such an amazing experience of another culture

Very interesting to learn about the history of the country and the ruins in the cultural triangle. Also the different crops grown in various areas of the country. The accommodation was of high quality and the staff were very helpful. Also interesting to learn about the dreadful damage the tsunami did and how the people are recovering from the losses of life and destruction to the buildings.

Service we received from start to finish was excellent and we were made to feel that we were being treated as individuals. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

We visited New and Old Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Fort Barli, Pune and Goa. Everywhere we went was a different experience and so interesting to learn about another country's culture and customs. The food was tasty and you didn't have to eat anything too spicy. We had a driver for the first week and several different guides who helped us to explore the different cities and to make the most of our time there. We had a good mix of sight seeing and down time so we didn't end up too frazzled by the end of the holiday. It was a good idea to have a few days relaxation at the end of the trip to really unwind. An amazing holiday.

Experience Travel were extremely efficient in booking our holiday. All travel arrangements went very smoothly and we were met by an agent at each stage of our journey around India. Nothing was too much trouble. We had specific needs and these were noted and accommodated.

We had a fantastic two week holiday touring Sri Lanka by car, bicycle and train. We visited many cultural sights and climbed Sigiriya, saw a great deal of wildlife, animals, birds and met farmers and saw crops being grown. Trekked through the tea estates in the mountains, experienced cities and country life, bustling and lively places and true tranquility.

Experience travel organised an excellent and varied itinerary for us to get to know the 'real' Sri Lanka with a mixture of cultural and rural experiences, safaris and treks.

We had great experiences from street food tasting, dragon boat ride, cooking class and visiting elephant sanctuary. All so memorable hard to say what was favourite. Everything our tour operator helped us to organise was first class and ran all on time perfectly. All hotels were superb. It truly was a land of ‘wonderful’ Smiles as advertised.

David Gookey so helpful, from first contact. He was very knowledgeable and helped us towards a fulfilling itinerary. He was not pushy and was more keen we had a holiday to remember. He kept us up to date with everything on a regular basis giving us great confidence throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. If deciding to travel further afield in the future will definitely contact him.
