Experience Travel arranged a fantastic 4 week holiday in Sri Lanka, staying in 10 differing types of accommodation, from local home stays to luxury villas, across the many part of the country, including many lovely places away from normal tourist hot spots. We were able to spend time finding out about local life as well as being immersed in the cultural history, and wildlife of Sri Lanka. The driver/guides were excellent, and we always felt safe with them. They also provided great insight into the places we visited, and added greatly to the overall holiday experience.

Lola at ETG and their local partner in Sri Lanka were always attentive to our needs and provided an excellent service during the planning of our trip and over the 4 weeks we were travelling, with regular checks to our driver/guide that all was well.

This was a holiday truly customised to what interests us, the type of experience we want from a holiday with the reassurance of “someone” being there if needed.

We were given a brilliant driver for the trip, which was from Jaipur to Delhi, stopping off in beautiful places. Every detail was thought about and considered. The guides were wonderful and the hotels felt special and off the beaten track. Experience Travel did an amazing job.

Our first visit to Sri Lanka felt like stepping into a living tapestry of history, culture, and wild beauty. Over sixteen days we wandered through ancient cities and sacred temples, watched elephants and leopards move through lush national parks, and soaked up the rhythm of daily life in vibrant towns and quiet villages. After so much exploring, we ended the trip with a few slow, sun‑drenched days by the ocean, letting the sound of the waves settle everything we’d seen. It was a journey packed with variety and wonder, and somehow we still left feeling there was even more to discover.
