Wonderful horses in Portugal

Beautifully schooled & responsive horses, fantastic instruction from Antonio and a lovely place to stay (food, wine and sun!). I highly recommend the riding holidays in Portugal.

Riding in Mallorca

I had a fantastic time on my holiday to Mallorca. The riding was great and my hosts couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely trip to do on my own too.

I had been following Equestrian Escapes on Facebook for a while but hadn’t quite got round to booking. When I decided I just needed to get away, the team were very helpful and knowledgeable about the break.

Having decided on the break we wanted to start with I can say the experience from start to finish was very professional. From the initial call with Lindsey where she helped to tailor our requirements, to the excellent teaching and the well schooled and cared for horses. Everyone the riding school were so lovely and the hotel accommodation was lovely and the views were stunning! It made us realise we had become lazy as happy hackers and that riding different horses and lessons are something we do to do more often. Looking forward to booking our next break.

Glorious Cheshire Countryside & Riding Experience

Just back from a fabulous few days in the Cheshire countryside, staying at a country house hotel with the stables a few steps away. The hotel was lovely and a perfect setting. The stables were brilliant, and all the staff were excellent and knew a million ways to teach the not so perfect rider as well as the experienced rider. It was a fully immersive experience as I undertook some stable management, private lessons, hack outs and loved every second...

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with their fantastic set up. The horses were well looked after, all 30 of them. A joy to ride so highly schooled horses with good quality tack. The cuisine was excellent and even had wine with our evening meals, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, organised and made you feel at home at all times. The accommodation was first class, clean and comfortable especially the beds. We have plenty of photos from our short and fantastic trip and will most definitely be returning. We would certainly recommend anyone who is thinking of organising a trip to go here Ola! Thank you once again and keep up with the good work. Regards Linda & Rob

A seamless holiday experience

We were taken out for lunches and dinners to places we might never have found for ourselves - a real taste of local Portuguese cuisine. The whole experience ...

From the initial conversation to booking the whole holiday took a matter of a few hours. The planning was so simple - Equestrian Escapes had done all the hard work. All we had to do was pack our jodhpurs, turn up and enjoy ourselves. I felt that Lindsey at Equestrian Escapes understood our interests and needs, and she suggested a plan that worked perfectly for us.

A dream come true

"Dream holiday" is an over-used phrase, and everyone will have their own idea of what that holiday might be. For me, it has to involve horses and riding. It's good to meet other people, too, and have tasty meals and a comfortable place to chill out. My recent holiday ticked all these boxes. A genuinely luxurious hotel, good food, ...

Then (as I live in Scotland and am used to putting up with vile weather!) a good climate and an appealing place. It's good to meet other people, too, and have tasty meals and a comfortable place to chill out. My recent holiday ticked all these boxes. A genuinely luxurious hotel, good food, and a charming and welcoming Spanish rural retreat only a short ride from the fabulous city of Seville. I chose this holiday because I wanted to improve my riding and get top-class tuition; I reckoned that if the rest of it was hit-or-miss, that would be ok. But I got everything and the quality of the tuition was very, very fine by any standards. I feel so privileged to have been taught on a one-to-one basis not only by the Olympian medallist Raefael Soto, but also by the staff at this centre, who were highly qualified and excellent. I dream of going back...and I will, one day.
