Walking - The Knoydart Peninsula by Scott C., 7 Aug 2018
Holiday Rating:

A nice bit of walking in Knoydart and the Small Isles

I really enjoyed the "home base" aspect of the trip. We headquartered at Doune Lodge and were fed three (excellent) squares a day as we got to walk and climb to some of the best vistas I've ever experienced. This is a trip I would happily repeat.

Knoydart adventure

We had an excellent week of guided walks on Knoydart, and also on Eigg, Rum, and Skye, courtesy of the use of a small boat which was at our disposal for the week. The location of the accommodation was spectacular - a wooden lodge, with a superb restaurant linked to this, a couple of minutes walk away. We were advised that the accommodation was lodge standard, rather than hotel, with shared toilet facilities, but the location more than made ...

Excellent pre holiday information, which was important, especially to judge the grade of the walking.

Self Guided: The Great Glen Way by Amy, 6 Aug 2018
Holiday Rating:

Forgetting our worries on the Great Glen Way!

We enjoyed doing a self-guided walk along the Great Glen Way over seven days. Our luggage was moved for us, and we walked to a new B&B each day. Every B&B was delightful. We had an excellent time.

Walking - The Orkney Isles by Richmond Lass, 6 Aug 2018

Wilderness walking in the Orkney Isles

A great balance of archaeology, flora and fauna and walking. The Orkney Islands are a fabulous place to visit and relax.

Rating for tour operator:

Wilderness Scotland are an excellent company to travel with. Being a small group holiday enables everyone to view the archaeological sites with ease whilst travelling by minibus allows access more secluded places away from the crowds.

Beyond expecations

Full days from 9am-9pm. Explored all terrains on the Isle of Skye. Couldn't have been any better.

Rating for tour operator:

Knowledgeable beyond what I expected. Kind, kept control yet allowed our input into some decisions when appropriate. Has a great personality to guide a bunch of strangers and in the end we all laughed and so enjoyed our new friends.

MTB - The Hebridean Trail by TouringGirl, 6 Aug 2018
Holiday Rating:

FAR Exceeded Expectations!

Top notch! The riding experience was incredible and the group size ideal, but my guides made the trip a memorable, lifetime one! As fabulous as the riding was, the exposure to lesser-known parts of Scotland and its beautiful history/tradition/culture was phenomenal. The guides were fun, funny, adaptable to unanticipated situations, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, passionate, and friendly!
