Well organised island hopping holiday!

This holiday has daily rides of between 25 and 45 miles, there are two tour leaders, one on a bike and one in the van, It is suitable for riders of all abilities and for both 'ordinary' and electric bikes. There are challenging hills, stunning beaches and opportunities to call in to local distilleries. The group size is small, maximum 8 riders. We had plenty of freedom to ride 'off' the suggested route, so we were able to get down onto the beach ...

Hiking the Outer Hebrides and Skye

This 7-day journey was a fantastic way to see some of the Isles of Scotland. The scenery, lodging, and meals were all top-notch, and no details were left unplanned.

Walking in the Isle of Skye

I very much enjoyed walking on the Isle of Sky. Each day was filled with hiking in different parts of the island, learning interesting history of the area, and getting immersed in the beauty of Skye. Each day we saw incredible views and natural wonders in a true wilderness that we could get to fully experience thanks to our amazing guide, John, who had a fantastic knowledge and experience of this area.

Wilderness Scotland provided a very well organized, flexible and tailored trip with small groups, highly professional, skilled and personable trip guides and support staff. I also enjoyed the high standard of accommodation and restaurants booked. This was my second trip with Wilderness as a solo traveler and I will definitely be booking with them again.

Fabulous Skye-walking with Wikderness Scotland

A wonderful week of varied walks in a small group, based for three nights each in two hotels so you don’t have to constantly pack and unpack, with an extremely competent and knowledgeable guide. I have done a number of walking holidays and this was undoubtedly the best overall experience. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Go with Wilderness Scotland!

We adventured with Wilderness Scotland hiking through the Highlands and Glencoe and enjoyed every minute of the week. From ascending our first munro (Schiehallion) to long walks high above Loch Tay and Loch Leven with endless views of mountains, we can't wait to go on our next Wilderness Scotland adventure. Our guide planned something for each of us in the group, from a stop at the Innerpeffary Library to the big trees around Dunkeld, to a church graveyard, to a storyteller/harpist, and so much more. We could not have been happier.

Wilderness Scotland plans and implements well for every aspect of their adventures. Our communications and questions were answered promptly by their office staff. Their pre-trip communications were thorough and sent well in advance of our trip. The guide for our trip had a lot of experience leading groups in country and internationally. His judgment on what to do when weather did not fit our schedule was seamless. We safely and comfortably completed our itinerary despite rain and fog for several days. Our guide also did a good job of regularly checking on the health and well-being of everyone in our group. The planned activities, the selected accommodations, the variety of food and drink were all excellent. Attention to detail in every aspect of Wilderness Scotland's package was precise.

We decided to use Wilderness Scotland after approaching several tour companies. They were quick to return emails and gave very detailed answers to our many questions. The tour packet included clear and concise directions on getting to our accommodations as well as explanations of the accommodations. The book we received was very good in describing the walking path and what to expect each day. We felt very prepared for our self guided tour along the Great Glen. The accommodations Wilderness chose for us were perfect for our needs. Good locations, easy to find. The hosts were very friendly and helpful as well. Can’t wait for our next walk!
