The guides were friendly and knowledgeable! They helped the group blend together. It was 96 miles of laughter and good times.

Walking - The Wilds of Assynt by Peebles, 4 Jun 2025
Holiday Rating:

Wilds of Assynt. An amazing experience of total immersion in a unique area of Scotland I didn't previously know.

The accommodation was clean, very comfortable and ideal for the type of trip. The very talented guide led us safely on an amazing hill-walk every day despite high winds and challenging weather conditions. I was thrilled by the flora and fauna of the region as well as the unique geology. I enjoyed great freshly landed local seafood every day. Excellent week on the West Title Way

I highly recommend Wilderness Scotland, and their guides Lara and Caroline. Our guided tour of the West Highland Way was a life-enriching experience that I hope to do again.

Cycling the North Coast 500 (excluding Applecross and stopping at JOG)

Excellent small-group (four guests, two guides) tour with van support to move our kit each day. Guides were friendly and capable. Hotels were good quality with nice food. And the route itself was challenging but brilliant fabulous roads and scenery (albeit we were fortunate to have warm sunshine every day with little wind - Scotland at its very best).

Wilderness Scotland's Outer Hebrides and NC 500

We cycled the Outer Hebrides and NC 500. The scenery was stunning, the e-bikes were great, and the accommodations were perfect. I've never seen so many baby lambs and beautiful flowers. Loved the seafood, black pudding and sticky toffee pudding.

A fascinating trip in a beautiful place with expert guide

We travelled in a small group by minibus and boat to the Outer Hebrides and St Kilda. We managed to get to St Kilda on a choppy day (not a given), which was a huge coup. We stayed in great hotels, very comfortable, quiet and clean with decent food. Interesting, energetic and fun days out every day, well put together by our very accomplished guide Keith Miller, a mountain guide whose knowledge of the natural world is encyclopaedic – also clearly ...
