Fabulous walking on the West Highland Way
I just returned from a guided tour of the WHW. Trip logistics were excellent, as was the guide, who was a particular highlight of the trip.

Wilderness Scotland provided well-organized information about the trip and easy access to individualized information when I had questions. The trip was well organized too, and accommodations and food--essential after a long day of walking--were excellent.

Wilderness Scotland walking tour, Arran: Scotland in miniature
The tour was 7 days and 6 nights that included walks across different types of terrain to see a range of cultural, ecological, and geological sights on Arran Island. The walks were accompanied by tours of a brewery and distillery

Wilderness Scotland staff are proactive and clear communicators, the itineraries are well-thought out and detailed, and the guides are technically strong with excellent people skills. Only a VERY HIGH level of skill, experience and effort can make running tours look that easy. Wilderness Scotland is an amazing company that put safety first while giving people new experiences.

Wilderness Scotland - professionally executed, hugely experienced, perfect

Superb kayaking adventure with Wilderness Scotland.
We joined Wilderness Scotland's Atlantic Coast kayaking trip from Friday 6th June to Wednesday 11th June. Although I had some experience of kayaking in the past I was a little apprehensive about paddling on the sea. However as soon as we arrived I knew we were in safe and very well experienced hands, which gave us the confidence to tackle conditions we'd never attempt on our own. It was an incredible privilege to be able to paddle in such stunning scenery and encounter wildlife in a way that was only possible on the water. It was made even better by our guides encyclopedic knowledge of natural history, geology and history which really brought the landscape alive. A particular highlight was sea kayaking through the Arisaig Skerries, which must be one of the most beautiful places in the world - I'll never forget paddling past bobbing seals and drinking nettle tea on beaches that wouldn't look out of place in the Bahamas.

Wilderness Scotland were excellent throughout - and this was so much more than a kayaking adventure. The accommodation, food, equipment and kayaking locations were all fantastic, but it was our guides that made the experience outstanding. We learnt about Scottish myths and legends, traditional music, SOE operations during the war, the Harry Potter train (!) viaduct construction, the history of the clearances, the many uses of nettles, the difference between White Tailed and Golden Eagles - the list just goes on! Our guides had a lifetime's knowledge of the Highlands and it was such a privilege to hear their fascinating stories while on - and off - the water.

Wonderful trip in Scotland
We were lucky enough to go to Scotland - we got to the Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Culloden, Clava Cairns and Edinburgh.
