The trip was well organized, places to stay were lovely, information provided prior to the trip was very helpful.

I walked Cotswold Way From Chipping Camden to Bath in August 2023. I was solo, Mickeledore was able to book single en suite accommodation in every village along the way. They recommended booking evening meal in advance and provided informaiton how to do it. Luggage was deliverd promptlhy.

Strenuous but rewarding Cotwold Way walk

We were blessed with fair weather for all but one day of the Cotswold Way., and the places we stayed were comfortable, welcoming, and well located. Breakfasts were all ample, and the need to find our own packed lunches some of the time, as well as most dinners, was not a problem. A special mention is deserved for the food at The Old Fleece in Stroud, and if you haven't tried Thatcher's Gold Cider on draugtht, do! The walk itself is often ...

Breakfasts were all ample, and the need to find our own packed lunches some of the time, as well as most dinners, was not a problem. A special mention is deserved for the food at The Old Fleece in Stroud, and if you haven't tried Thatcher's Gold Cider on draugtht, do! The walk itself is often quite vertical, both down and up, in all of its sections, most of them accordingly scenic, so be prepared with good hiking boots (we also had sticks), and a fair amount of patience.

Rating for tour operator:

All interactions with Mickledore have been pleasant, and we had no reason to fault their arrangements.

Cotswold Way (North to South Route)

We walked the Cotswold Way National Trail, north to south, starting in Chipping Camden and finishing in Bath. We covered the distance over eleven days and had two nights in Bath before heading back to London. We had two nights at the same B&B's at both Chipping Camden and Dursley, on those occasions we were provided taxi vouchers to return or be taken to the start or finish points for the day. Everything worked perfectly! (Even the weather!)

They had expertly prepared a travel package that included accommodations, luggage transfer, and taxi transfers where needed. All of it had been prepared ahead and the trip went perfectly. There was briefly some confusion with the luggage transfer company regarding the number of bags, but that was quickly resolved by Mickledore and we didn't miss a beat.

A great Cotswold Way experience!

I had a wonderful time walking the southern part of the Cotswold Way from Painswick to Bath in May 2023: Stunning views and landscape, decent to excellent accommodation, perfect weather conditions, good food, nice people and (mostly) friendly animals.

Walking the Cotswold Way.

Second time walking with Mickeldore with our first time walking Hadrian's Wall a few years ago. All accommodation was booked by them and waiting for our arrival each night, all 3* or better. I would not walk with any other company now. Quality counts. We could not walk before October as this route is now so popular surprisingly by Americans.

beautifully exhausting and inspiring

(With one of my children) I explored the Cotswold started at Cleeve Hill & walked towards Birdlip that was beautiful but exhausting as well, it didn't stop raining and some parts were slippery and steep. Amazing views. A real adventure. Next day to Painswick seeing lots of forest animals hiding in the autumn leaves. Warm welcome, meal and good conversations in Annes b&b, with guests from all over the world. This memory will stay forever.

Wonderful autumn holiday in the Costswolds

We did walk the first part of the Costwold Way from Chipping Campden to Painswick. It was a wonderful experience with almost no rain. The villages were very pretty especially Chipping Campden and Broadway. A must see is imo Broadway Tower and Cleeve Hill. We really liked the views from these hills.

Walking the Cotswolds with Mickledore

We walked with six friends (60+) from Painswick to Bath in 5 days. So we took our time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, villages, and pubs. As we are from Belgium we know the region through the Midsummer Murders series, and we were not disappointed at all. Though the kissing gates were squeaking, there were no murders during our visit. B&B's were top, and luggage transport perfect. The hosts were very helpful with parking and transportation ...

B&B's were top, and luggage transport perfect. The hosts were very helpful with parking and transportation issues between the start and endpoints. Bath was a wonderful experience after the walking holiday with roman and modern baths, the pump room, the abbey, and Avebury and Stonehenge to visit. After a very good experience of Hadrian wall some years ago, Mickledore again gave us the desire to walk again in the UK.
