Great trip around Laos get there before it changes.

We toured around Laos from Luang Prabang through the countryside including climbing waterfalls night time river safaris, local villages and jungle tours. Local markets which you just have to see to believe. You have to arrange to go and see this interesting country which is sandwiched between the two tourist giants of Thailand and Vietnam and is so very different from both of them.

Undiscovered Destinations did it again. I have no idea how they manage to understand exactly what I want from a trip and match the itinerary so well. They always seem to provide something special and all credit to them for knowing the locations so well and matching these to my requirements. Also the price is competative and you are assured of value for the money you spend.

A comprehensive travel in Silk Road territory

A fairly comprehensive travel around the major sights of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan - a small group with efficient local guides who all had a good knowledge of English and good senses of humour.

An amazing experience that differed significantly from what was advertised

A journey through west Africa starting in rapidly developing Senegal and travelling into Guinea Bissau parts of which haven't changed in centuries. Hot and dusty , a fascinating mix of French and Portugese colonial culture venturing far off the tourist track. The Bijagos archipelago provides an ancient and remote tribal culture and some rare wildlife viewing opportunities.

Undiscovered destinations are well informed and well organised - although their foreign counterparts sometimes try to scupper their carefully considered plans !

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately your tour was subject to some unexpected changes. After further investigation we realised that inadvertently we had sent you an old version of the tour itinerary. From time to time changes will be made to tours, often based on feedback or suggestions from our travellers. Although any changes are always made with the primary aim of improving the experience for our customers, it is important that any amendments to the advertised programme are advised before departure. On this occasion due to an exceptionally busy period in our office we failed to do this and I apologise for any inconvenience caused. I am pleased that you still had an amazing experience in what is a little visited corner of Africa. Jim Louth, Director, Undiscovered Destinations.

Brilliant!

From the mania that is Dhaka to the peaceful Sunderbans, Hill tracts and Cox's Bazaar we couldn't have asked for more from the welcoming people of Bangladesh.

Fascinating visit to the Land of the Black Pharaohs

Deserted archeological sites, wonderful Nubians offering endless hospitality, and Nubian nomads scratching a living from the desert. Sudan was full of surprises. It's a fascinating place to visit - probably best if you've visited and loved Egypt and want more of the same, without lots of tourists but with fairly basic conditions and long, hot drives between sites. The untapped archaeology is really incredible. The pyramids are taller and narrower than in Egypt and generally very well preserved, and the other sites and tombs we visited were amazing - at many sites we were the only ones there. The biggest surprise of all however was the Sudanese people who were incredibly welcoming and friendly and made the holiday a very memorable time.

Undiscovered Destinations were quick to respond, very knowledgeable and incredibly efficient. They knew all the information and it was provided clearly and quickly making the decision to book with them very simple. Arrangements on the trip flowed completely and with our small group, outstanding guide and very good drivers, this really was a fantastic and diverse trip majoring on the architecture but with plenty of opportunity to meet Nubian people along the way. A superb company and I would certainly travel with them again.

Undiscovered Destinations always provide me with a 4 to 6 week holiday which often includes extra days or destinations not in their list. The final program gives me a seemless trip with all flights etc. All I have to do is turn up at the UK point of

Small group tour of Algeria and a small group tour of Burkina Faso. As the dates were not consecutive I asked for a tailor made tour of Tunisia - a country not on their list of destinations. I get an integrated package with everything organised including flights and connections between countries.

Rating for tour operator:

Undiscovered Destinations does not bother with mainstream destinations and puts all its effort into providing interesting tours to unusual places. I often ask for pre-tour and/or post-tour trips to countries not on their list of destinations. I just need to give them a list of places in the country I wish to visit and they put together a seamless and fully integrated trip including connecting flights and airport connections. An excellent tour operator meeting all requirements for demanding well travelled people. (I have travelled to over 65 countries and consider myself well travelled.) I have already organised two more 4 week+ trips with this operator.

A trip to Myanmar experiencing local sites, people and villages as well as the more popular tourist landmarks.

The trip was well described using local transport and local hotels. It was not luxurious, but comfortable throughout. Local guides, transport and hospitality was quite superb. This is a very friendly and unthreatening country and the trip enabled contact with local people away from some of the normal tourist sites.

Rating for tour operator:

We got exactly what it said on the tin! The trip was well described, made it clear that there would be some quite long journeys on local transport (some public) and that accommodation and meals would be locally provided. This was not rough and ready though---the itinerary was accurate, guiding superb and everything punctual and helpful.
