A 7 day programme in and about the town of Lourdes with pilgrims from several international schools and associates assisting a large group of pilgrims who required various levels of care.

The tour was coordinated efficiently and the specific requirements were catered for. . Transport and accommodation were good. Communication was effective.

Literally the best experience of my life! I couldn’t of wished to have had a better trip to Lourdes in France with such a lovely group of people, taken by another lovely group of people from tangent tours.

They were all lovely and very welcoming and accommodating and made sure we had the best travelling experience possible and I feel so lucky to have been able to go :)

Going on the pilgrimage was a wonderful experience. The flight went smoothly and coaches were waiting at Lourdes airport to take us to our hotel. The Padue Hotel was excellent; very clean, comfortable bed and brilliant service from all the staff. Our meals were included and the food was of good quality. The afternoon excursion to Gavarnie in the Pyrenees was spectacular and well worth a visit. Overall I would highly recommend Lourdes as a destination and Tangley Tours as an operator.

The tour representative was excellent. She made a point of coming to the hotel to speak with us and to make sure everything was going smoothly. Unfortunately I cannot recall her name but would thank her for how attentive she was during our stay.

It was a pilgrimage to Lourdes rather than a holiday. It was my first with the Westminster Archdiocese and with the sick and those who were in wheelchairs. This element added to the experience, made it more meaningful.

Tangney Tours is reliable and professional. Any tour operator can deal with a holiday/pilgrimage when all is well, but the sign of a good operator is when things don't. On our journey home there was a minor crisis with a fire at our train station (Montparnasse). I thought Tangney handled it professionally under quite difficult circumstances, in providing coaches to re arrange their pick up point and take us to Gare du Nord without too much inconvenience, and this on the busiest weekend of the French calendar. So well done Tangney Tours.

It was a Pilgrimage rather than holiday with good balance of group activities and services and time for private reflection. Weaknesses were in the food provided both on plane and in hotels on occasion.. Our food on the outward flight was loaded on to another plane completely and we received was a small packet of nibbles and a small glass of juice/tea/coffee. Hotel food was often bland.

Communicated well and tried to ensure it was best possible week. Courier service was excellent.

It is a pity that direct flights to Lourdes (Tarbes) cannot be arranged (as they used to be) as the two hour coach journey from and to Toulouse Airport and the hassle through the airport are quite a trial. It has also become very difficult and expensive to take parish banners on pilgrimage due to airline restrictions and charges.

While the general arrangements for the pilgrimage seemed alright the meal menus at the Beau Site Hotel left a lot to be desired. The general standard of accommodation at the hotel was good.

We had a week in Lourdes , a remarkable place and everything was excellent from the moment we arrived at the airport until we got home - flight hotel transfers - everything went like clockwork meaning we could enjoy the experience to the full
