I went to the Holy Land with a group from my diocese and it was better than expected. I'd always wanted to visit the Holy Land and it was to walk in the same places that Jesus did. For me, it brought tge bible alive and we had an excellent tour guide!

Every thing went smoothly and very happy with the tour operator.

As always, Tangney Tours arranged the pilgrimage very well and their representatives in Lourdes were excellent, informative and helpful. It is second the time that I have travelled with Tangney Tours and every time they have exceeded my expectations

Tangney Tours arranged the pilgrimage very well and their representatives in Lourdes were excellent, informative, helpful and available when needed. However, I did not like the facilities provided by the Lourdes Management - the key one being the standard of toilet facilities which did NOT have seats and seat covers and lack of hygiene in bath tubs at the Lourdes bathing facilities. This is totally unacceptable in a 1st world country.

We were very well looked after from the time we arrived till the time we left. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lourdes was beautiful and right now I could only be away for a day. This trip was Ideal for someone who hasn’t been before. A blessed day for me!

They were very comprehensive with information. And helpful in getting us onto the aeroplane. I was pleased we chose them.

It was a well organised trip which brought the religion, history and archaeology of the area to life. Quite frankly, if it wasn’t the top of a mount, a cave or a rock then Jesus simply wasn’t interested. It was fascinating to understand the topography of the area and how close many of the religious sites are. The view of the Sea of Galilee from the Golan Hotel was just amazing. Wakening up to this view so uplifting. Bethlehem was a completely different experience. A jewel which was not on the tour was the Syrian Orthodox Church and its bejewelled Aramaic bible. The caretaker kindly read the Lords Prayer to me in the language of Jesus. This was exceptionally moving. He then offered me a coffee which I gladly accepted. On to Jerusalem which is the jewel of the tour. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is an amalgamation of churches under one roof and constructed over centuries. It is like a shopping mall of churches built on different levels and side by side. One bewildered Asian pilgrim could not understand why Calvary was within this church complex. His reaction was that “Jesus was crucified outside. “. He could not understand that this too was covered and within the complex. Another striking fact was that all three monotheistic faiths revere this spot. Apparently Abraham was buried near Calvary, so the site is revered by Muslims and Jews alike. We saw so much of the Holy Land but there was still so much we didn’t see.

Our tour operator was second to none. Our tour guide, a Palestinian Christian, has a very high level of spoken English and the capacity to describe even the most complex of local situations sensitively. He brought the whole history alive and this is what made the tour.

A pilgrimage tp Lourdes with the family. An incredible experience supported by an outstanding tour guides and courier who went beyound her job in helping us have the most memorably experience.

Our annual Pilgrimage to lourdes gave us all a wonderful spitual lift. The benefit of having dedicated curiers gives us the freedom to enjoy pour holiday with the knowledge that if anything go wronge we have back up and absolute security. The only down side to our holiday this year, was we were required to exit the aircraft at Bristol instead of Stanstead. Our pickup from Bristol was delayed due to problems with traffic on the M5 that we knew would happen. That's why we have always needed to travel to and from Stansted. Bristol may be close to home, however, it's not an easy airport to use. There are no air bridges and in the wind and cold of our return journey. It did give a bad feeling to the end of our great holiday.

The hotel was average. The food not upto expectations. My diet is vegan, meaning no animal, dairy, or fish. The staff had problems understanding this. If I was allergic to any food then I would’ve suffered. The room was very basic. The view from my window was a brick wall. For the cost of the two nights I stayed there not good value for money.

I was met at the airport and driven to my hotel then after a brief interlude the tour guid took me around the sites. I was impressed. On my last day the tour guide to us back to the airport. She was very helpful and very considerate. Marks out of 10 would be 10.
