I was a pilgrimage to Lourdes in France

Tangney Tours are professional, personal & very accommodating, highly recommended for pilgrimages.

We were looking to have a celebration for my father's 75th birthday. We were also looking for a relaxing break after the COVID restrictions were eased. Our four days with Tangney Tours provided that ideal. The warmth, friendship and relaxing days spent with a group of people who had only met due to this holiday was simply amazing. The food, accommodation, service and above all the friendly and helpful people made this a memorable experience for my father. The staff went out of their way to enrich our experience. This was the break we needed after a long year of the lockdown.

Our Tour operator was the reason why we enjoyed this holiday. The staff went out of their way to make our experience a better one. The daily programme enabled us to make the most of our pilgrimage. The guides on hand were so helpful and knowledgeable that each part of the pilgrimage brought more meaning. The schedule was such that we had a lot on offer yet the flexibility to change remained. With regards COVID - I must thank the tour operator for sparing no effort in ensuring all tests were carried out, providing transportation to and from the testing pharmacy and finally the assistance with the Passenger Locator Forms. Both my parents are disabled and one of the guides, stayed with us until assistance for disabled access was arranged. I would recommend Tangney Tours any time as an efficient Tour Operator but also one who creates a family for those days of a pilgrimage and provides them with an excellent service and atmosphere.

I attended a group pilgrimage to Lourdes, organised by Tangney Tours. I initially flew from London Heathrow to Toulouse, and thereafter took a coach from Toulouse to Lourdes. I stayed in the Elisio Hotel, where all meals were included. The primary reason of my holiday was as a pilgramage, therefore to practice my Christian religion. I attended various mass's, had a coach trip, went on an organised walking tour of Lourdes and also in my free time visited the baths, went on the Pic du Jer firnacular and spent time shopping.

My tour operator Tangney Tours was excellent, the tour leaders were always on site to answer any questions and attended the mass's with us. They had a good knowledge of Lourdes, and dealt with the covid paperwork and tests very efficiently.

Tangney Tours were outstandingly helpful and efficient in these difficult conditions. I don't think I would have tried to organise it by myself, with all the forms and tests involved in going to France at present.

Having booked our pilgrimage to Lourdes with Tangney Tours back in November 2019 and then the impact of COVID-19, we were obviously very concerned about our booking as it neared our departure date in August. I had heard stories of people not being able to get through to travel firms, refusing refunds or taking weeks, if not months to be actioned. This made us very nervous, as I imagined we'd experience the same. We could not have been more wrong. We were contacted regularly regarding the status of our booking until such a time that the pilgrimage was cancelled due to the flights no longer operating. Within 2 weeks we had a full refund of the money I paid (which was the balance of the trip) including the insurance I had taken out at the time. I'm one of the lucky ones as I'm pretty sure this isn't standard practice for a lot travel firms. We wouldn't hesitate to book again with Tangney Tours and will do once the French quarantine restrictions are lifted. Thank you Tangney Tours.

Efficient, caring staff who actually communicate with you!

A two centre pilgrimage staying in Nazareth and Bethlehem. We had a fairly packed itinerary which made good use of our time in the Holy Land and ensured that we were able to visit the majority of the sites connected with the life of Jesus.. The two hotels were well placed, comfortable and clean. the food was plentiful and catered well for the international visitors.

All aspects of the tour were well organised. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English, He had a good sense of humour and was respectful to our Spiritual Director. Our tour operator sanctioned visits to a couple of sites which were not originally on our published schedule, without further charge which was greatly appreciated by those on the tour.

Fantastic experience both spiritually and culturally, visiting all the key sites in Jesus’ foot steps. Well organised and good choice of hotels. Local guide (Jonathan from Layla travel) and accompanying spiritual adviser (Fr Stephen Myers) were both excellent.

We visited many of the most sacred Christian sites in a party of 28 fellow pilgrims accompanied by a Spiritual Director and an accomplished local guide. Both the Spiritual Director and the tour guide were exceptionally good. The trip was very competently organised and passed without a hitch in sometimes testing circumstances due to crowds at sites visited. Hotel accomodation was of a very high quality in both towns in which we stayed. Food was always good and sometimes very good. Our fellow pilgrims were a pleasure to meet and to travel with. Overall I cannot recommend the whole experience too highly.
