It was easy booking the holiday. But when I booked my hotel, it was changed without my consent and I was not notified. Led to poor communication. Resulting in a downgrade in my hotel. The hotel was okay and clean, but the food range was poor. Warm milk with cereals, not my thing and hardly any options available. (limited). As I did not really eat anything and had to buy more food, resulting an increase of spending money. I think my original hotel would have been better. But overall Okay.

Very useful with regards to giving information.

Good hotel, good travel (delays can’t always be avoided). All good except the music at the services, Some traditional which is ok but too many “Party Pieces”, like in recent years, hymns that we don’t know and never sing again and what’s with the opera singer? not necessary.

Archdiocese of Birmingham 81st pilgrimage Good flights. Good transfers. Hotel Good. Food interesting, different.

Organised; dealt with 1particular important issue very well and quickly.

I went on a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land with my Church (The Church of the Transfiguration in Kensal Rise) and another Church from East London. It was booked via Tangney Tours. They got it spot on!! Our Tour Guide Sameer was VERY knowledgeable and totally brilliant!!

When we arrived at Heathrow Airport our Tangney Tour Representative was there to greet us and stayed with us until we checked in. When we got to Israel Sameer was waiting for us and took us to our Coach 😊

We went on pilgrimage to Lourdes with Tangney Tours and it was a moving and inspiring experience. We chose this destination in honour of our late mother with whom we had travelled here before.

Tangney Tours were professional efficient and friendly throughout the entire process from start to finish. We had never travelled with them previously but would certainly do so again and would wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone.

Travel arrangements to Birmingham not supplied as they have for all other, pilgrimage s ( about 11) very disappointed

The northern part of the diocese, ( adults) were not told until very short notice that we needed to travel to Birmingham to board the coach , thus incuring anxiety and a substantial extra cost .

I sta yed in the Roissy. I was disappointed with my room. It was very basic. It advertised tea and coffee making facilities however, after the first clean I had not been given replacement tea, coffee milk, cups etc.... When I asked at reception I was told they were not provided after the first day and I would have to pay for any additional requirements. I found this ridiculous as the cost for the 4 star hotel was expensive enough. It wasn't even a proper tea cup in the room. all cups were paper cups. Several of our party were told off in the dining hall for taking food from a certain area of the buffet because that was for individuals not groups. There was more choice for the 'individuals' For the price paid i would have hoped the buffet offered was be the same choice for all clients.. We had to give two days notice for a packed lunch and even after two days, we were told the packed lunches were not ready and we had to wait around to get them.

Our tour operator seem very friendly and a walk we went on was very good and informative.

Everything about this pilgrimage was wonderful from start to finish. Hotel Helgon that we stayed at was within walking distance to the Grotto. My one critisism would be the wait at Manchester Airport for our luggage on return.

We had a wonderful Tour Guide in Graham. His knowledge about St Bernadette and Lourdes was second to none.

Overall the pilgrimage was a truly blessed experience. The itinerary was very well thought through and I give those who created it a score of Excellent. The Restal Hotel in Tiberias was extremely comfortable and well situated. The food, service, responsiveness and general demeanour of those running and working at the hotel were very good. In contrast the Gloria Hotel whilst the rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the people behind the reception desk friendly and professional, the same cannot be said for the restaurant staff who hovered over you with surly attitudes as you ate. They also didn't know that we were not checking out until Friday and were not ready for us for breakfast on Thursday. To make matters worse on Friday after we went down to breakfast we came back to find the young lady cleaning the room. The bathroom was a swamp, she was wiping the toilet bowl with a towel and we had to ask her to leave so that we could use the room before going to Mass for 9am. Checkout was not until 11am, so I do not know why there was a rush to kick us out of the room. We were not the only people to experience this. The food at the Gloria was random. That's the only way to describe it. I met a lady from another group on Friday 9th who said the only good thing on offer was the Cappuccino from the machine. Thankfully there were good restaurants nearby. I cannot recommend the Gloria based on this experience even if the location is convenient.

Does this mean, tour guide? If so, he was excellent. His knowledge, professionalism and courteousness meant that everyone felt comfortable with him. He did not rush us on as has been experienced with other tour guides in the past. The driver Tarek must also be mentioned for his competence and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Jonathan and Tarek for anyone going to the Holy Land. I have a question. On the application form that we completed, the fine print stated that the price included lunches... it did not say some lunches. Three lunches were included. I think you need to look into this since anyone who wants to has a legal standing to have the lunches they bought refunded. If tour operator means Tangney Tours then the rating is average.
