Fabulous South Africa 'Taster' Holiday

We booked at the last minute and didn't really have enough time for a holiday in South Africa ! However, Safari Consultants delivered a truly varied trip which well matched our holiday needs at this time. We spent four nights in Cape Town in a very well located hotel. Highlights amongst others included: a trip to Robben Island, a driving tour around the Cape Peninsular and an evening concert in Kirstenbosch Gardens. Next we drove to Paternoster where we stayed in a lovely hotel and enjoyed long walks along the beach, a very brief (for obvious reasons) swim in the Atlantic and fabulous sea food. We ended our trip in Franschhoek - with stunning scenery, great food and wine and another great hotel.

Rating for tour operator:

Safari Consultant's understanding and delivery of our holiday requirements was excellent, which we particularly appreciated given our last minute booking. We hope to plan another Africa holiday with Safari Consultants in 2016 including a Safari. We didn't have sufficient holiday for a safari this time but I know from previous experience with safari Consultants that they excel at providing great safari experiences suited to different requirements.

Safari and Beach Holiday

Safari in the Masai Mara, followed by a few days at the beach in Diani and then a night in the amazing Emakoko Lodge in the heart of the National Park in Nairobi.

Fulfilled all our wishes for the Trip

Great visits to Lake Manyora and Ngorogora Crater, followed by two seoerate three night stays in different parts of the Serengeti and then to top it off three days relaxing in Zanzibar. Went through the full migration twice ( once in each camp), saw loads of different cats and full of incidence, A great experience.

Highly professional devising a programme that exceeded our expectations, and then implementing it well. Always felt comfortable using them on a trip with 9 flights, transfers and 6 seperate hotels/lodges across Tanzania.

The Excellent Mara Conservancies

Great trip to three of the Mara Conservancies: pity about the unseasonal weather, several days of wet and cold. But some great game viewing especially on a day trip into the main reserve, the eastern Mara Triangle.

Kenya and Tanzania

Staying at The Boma Hotel, Lewa House. Rivertrees Country Inn, Ngorongoro Serena Hotel, Serengeti Safari Camp, Nduara Camp, Lamai Serengeti and Ngare Serian camp. The whole holiday was completely mind-blowing, with excellent food and staggeringly good guiding from our Nomad guise, Kakai. A fabulous experience.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE

This was our first visit to Africa. Our trip consisted of a 7 days safari, 3 nights at the Kicheche Liakipia Camp at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya and then 4 nights at the Kicheche Bush Camp in the Masai Mara. We then stayed one night at the Boma Hotel in Niarobi before travelling to Zambia, staying 3 nights at the Waterberry Lodge by the banks of the Zambeze River near to Victoria Falls.

Excellent from start to finish. Their attention to detail was first class and the whole trip went like clock work. We had many questions before we left home and they were very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all of our queries. We would definitely recommend them anyone thinking of travelling to Africa.

Simply fabulous

Just returned from a 2 week safari in Kenya, starting at Kicheche Laikipia, then on to Lewa Wilderness, finishing at Kicheche Valley camp on the Mara. All 3 locations were truly wonderful, with superb, clean accommodation, exceptionally friendly efficient staff and fab guides. The wildlife viewing was excellent despite the late rains this year making the grass much higher than normal. The guides worked so hard to show us all there was to see...

An amazing experience despite being our 10th safari to Kenya, all booked through Safari Consultants, who always come up with the best for us.

Rating for tour operator:

Safari Consultants don't just tell you where to go, they first listen to the type of accommodation we would prefer, budget, what we hope to do whilst on holiday etc, before suggesting various options which are then thoroughly discussed before final itinerary agreed. Can't recommend them enough to anyone who wants a truly special safari tailored to their needs.

An African Adventure

We all absolutely loved our safari at Kicheche Bush Camp, Darren and Emma are natural hosts and made us all feel very comfortable as soon as we arrived. Our tent was clean and tidy and we all enjoyed the food and sharing meals with the other guests and hosts. We learnt so much from our safari guide Charles and he has completely inspired our eight year old son to take an interest in the natural world around him. On our arrival back at Wilson Airport we had a few hours to fill. We were picked up by an organised driver and taken to a local shopping centre for lunch, not a particularly pleasant experience a hotel would have been more appropriate. The Serena Inn at Stonetown, Zanzibar was very welcoming. Our rooms were beautifully furnished, but rather warm! The Breezes Beach Club, Zanzibar was very pleasant, the snorkelling trip had its challenges, but all part of the adventure! The standard of food and service was good. The staff made a real effort on New Years Eve with a beach party and fireworks. Excellent band for brunch on New Years Day. Great way to start 2016. . .

We booked through Lorraine at Travellers World, Salisbury. She is extremely proffessional and could answer all of our questions. She also organised our online visas for Kenya which saved lots of time and hassle at the airport. This was the third time Lorraine has helped us plan our holidays, and we will certainly be talking to her again soon for our plans for later this year.
