Our trip was amazing, far exceeded our wildest expectations! The crew & tour guides were so professional, accommodating and attended our every need & questions, many times before we asked!! We toured historical ruins & places that we would not seen on our own! Did I mention the food?? The meals were of the highest quality & appealed to everyone! We loved the late afternoon treat! This was a graduation gift for my three Grandchildren & the crew & guides made it so special for them! The boat was immaculate & our cabins were cleaned daily! This was the trip of a lifetime & would definitely recommend to anyone!! Thank you again to the crew, Nota & Heinrich for their kindness to us!

7 day gullet cruise, archeology focus, but mostly fun, sun, swimming, good friends focus. Perfect mix of learning, and relaxing. We traveled with 6 friends, other 4 travel companions delightful.

An amazing trip... Peter Sommer Tours are the best I have done with any tour company. Heinrich and Maria both did a wonderful job of informing and exposing each of us to the marvels of the Peloponnese. It was my third Peter Sommer Tour, and, as a testament to the value i place in PST, I have another scheduled for later this year...and I don't expect that it will be my last. The tours are a tremendous avenue to seeing and experiencing not only the history and archaeological significance of so many often remote but key sites, but also the lifestyle and personality of the area's population...which its two-week length easily afforded.

Peter Sommer Tours -- An excellent tour company that is without peer in my experience. Our tour guides were...as they have been all PST tours I have taken...exceptionally qualified to lead this historical/archaeological-oriented tour. Both without question very, very knowledgeable of Greek history, archaeology, geography, and culture. Their outgoing and caring personalities allowed them to easily interact socially as well as professionally with my tour colleagues. Our bus driver and the bus was very comfortable, accessible for loading/unloading, and safely driven on even the most challenging remote Greek roads.

We left Trogir on Saturday, June 2nd and over the next week sailed to Split, Brac, Vis, Korcula, Mljet and finally to Dubrovnik. In small but interesting cities we visited archeological sites and musuems with our Guide, Helena, who has her doctorate from Oxford and with a local guide in each town and city. Each day we sailed to a new and even more beautiful place, anchoring at night in a protected bay or cove so we could swim and have a quiet night. Meals on board and in restaurants were 5 Star. Crew was top flight. Arrangements perfect. We had a great group of guests from far and wide. Everything was done in the most professional manner so we could just enjoy ourselves. Which we did.

This is my second Peter Sommers gilet cruise. Even better than the first which was awesome and brought me back. Peter Sommers makes sure every detail in every port is done perfectly. He chooses very highly qualified and doctorate level professional guides who bring history to life.

We traveled as a group of 6 great friends! We learned the history of Croatia and in fact the longitudinal history of the of our world, prehistorical times till present. We toured islands of Croatia. We ate like kings and queens. We swam in the warm caressing Adriatic Sea every day. We enjoyed time with our friends and spouses. We had fine Croatianwine! Need anything else need to be said.

Helena was fabulous! Knowledgeable,kind, considerate and efficient. We would love to request her again.

We highly recommend this experience as it was perfect in every way. Having been to Italy several times, seeing it from the sea was absolutely delightful. We enjoyed our knowledgable guides, Sophie and Francesca, the ship's crew, every meal and each day trip. The Mediterranean is the place to be in our view, not to mention the islands across from the peninsula. For relaxation, points of interest, and good company Peter Sommer travels can't be beat.

Sophie is experienced, personable and became a friend while touring the Amalfi Coast. She and Francesca were better than any history teacher I had in high school or college. I learned something this time.

We joined a cruise in a gulet along the Carian cost in Turkey , based on archeological and gastronomic aspects of the land: for us it was the first time to have an experience like that and we have been very satisfied

I expected a comfortable tour through an area rich in history and scenery. The actual experience exceeded expectations on all fronts: the comfort levels of transport and accommodation were very high; the history was heavily layered, and superbly illustrated by the guides' commentary on the marvellous sites we visited. The scenery was stunning.

The arrangements made by Peter Sommer's group were all as advertised, with excellent accommodation in well located and comfortable hotels, including some that will remain memorable. The dining was chosen for its regional and local relevance, its quality and, where possible its position and/or charm. The food was very good and the wine was chosen for its regional character and match with the food. Peter Sommer's guides - Heinrich and Maria were very attentive to the various needs and preferences of our group that are inevitable in any diverse group of thirteen. Their knowledge was deep, and their passion for Greece and its history and culture was palpable. They were also talented storytellers, patient educators and good-natured and humorous travelling companions.

A well led trip by two thoroughly professional and sociable guides. The accommodation was a treat with stays in old mansions and converted mountain village homes.

This is our third trip with Peter Sommer and recommend them highly to firends.
