Peter simmers travel, our 5th trip with him in every way excellent

A 14-day trip along the Carian Coast of Turkey, visiting archaeological sites, wineries, villages, etc. Everything about the trip was wonderful. The food on the boat was truly excellent; traditional Turkish dishes, cooked by a masterful chef. All 13 of us on board were dazzled. Wonderful swimming in bays along the coast, two or three times a day. Archaeological sites fascinating. The Peter Sommer Tour representatives on board were excellent companians and highly knowledgeable. Everyone on board felt they had received great value for the money it cost.

We have now been on five (!) Peter Sommer Tours, each one excellent. We were always interested in Turkey and Greece and the idea of visiting out of the way places, archaeological sites, beautiful spots on the coase on a small boat, but did not expect we'd continue to go on these trips. They are beautifully organized, very well staffed and a great pleasure to experience. As I told PST itself, these trips have enriched our lives. I highly recommend this operator.

Fantastic trip. The boat was comfortable and well maintained; the crew were attendant and helpful and the food was fabulous. The visits to the archaeological sites were very well organized and our guides were excellent. Our archaeological guide, Philip, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and an excellent presenter. Our local guide, Aeyup, kept us informed on local foods, wines, and traditions. It was, by far, the best trip I have ever taken.

Peter Sommer Travels made it so easy to book a tour and so many wonderful tours to choose from. They kept in contact with us to ensure that we got flights, hotel, visas, everything we needed. And when we missed our ride (100% our fault) from Bodrum Airport to our hotel Peter Sommer Travels called our hotel to check on us to make sure we had arrived safely. It was, by far, the best trip I have ever taken and would highly recommend Peter Sommer Travels to friends and family. I am ready to go on another cruise.

Quality

One of the best vacations I've ever had. The opportunities for swimming, kayaking, and hiking were all exceptional. The food was excellent and something of a miracle given the size of the gullet kitchen. The group was very congenial and a pleasure to be with.

Ugur Cinar was wonderful -- knowledgeable about the country and sensitive to the various needs of the group. I've traveled extensively and he was the best guide I've ever had.

The gulet cruise was phenomenal and I will go on one again! The crew and tour operator were the best! I learned so much from the inland tours and the interaction with other guests of the cruise. One highlight was visiting an oyster harvesting operation on a floating barge. Now I understand why oysters are so expensive and will love them even more!

Mislav was very personable and knowledgeable. His background and passion for archeology was infectious!

I knew that Peter Sommer's tours have attracted excellent reviews but the experience more than matched my high expectations. Each day was a delightful blend of cruising along the beautiful Turkish coast, fascinating excursions to visit amazing ancient sites, swimming in sheltered bays and long evenings around the table with excellent food, wine and new found friends. Everything was arranged at a relaxed and comfortable pace. Our trips ashore visited a series of increasingly spectacular ancient cities which were brought to life by our enthusiastic and very knowledgeable expert guide. It was a perfect holiday and many thanks must go to the crew of our lovely boat, our hardworking chef, our entertaining local guide Suleyman and our expert guide Dr. Michael. Having recently suffered a bereavement I had hoped that this cruise would lift my spirits. In fact, for me, it turned out to be a life affirming experience.

Peter Sommer tours have an excellent reputation and this tour was exceptional. The experience for me and my shipmates was a very relaxing, comfortable and entertaining tour but what was hidden from us was all the organisation and logistics that must be necessary to achieve this seamless and faultless performance. Peter Sommer have honed their their craft in delivering memorable holidays with exceptional results.

Extremely attentive and excellent organisation

We were in a group of 9 on a Turkish gulet, cruising from Bodrum to Kudasasi and back, visiting Ephesus and other archaeological sites along the coast. We were very well looked after by the boat crew and our two guides, one local and the other a university academic. It was a wonderful trip.

The operator made all the local arrangements faultlessly. Every detail had been addressed to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The choice of sites for our visits was good, and the balance between visits ashore and opportunities to swim from the boat was perfect. The group members were very congenial people with similar interests to ourselves. The tour operator had managed this well.

This was our 2nd private Gulet Charter in Turkey with Peter Sommer travels. It was once again a great success due to the itinerary done for us . We enjoyed great food , historical sites and learning more about Turkey in general.
