From the Po valley to the sea at Camogli this holiday was amazing. The walks varied between 10 to 12 miles a day across varied terrain from chestnut woods to the mountainous area of the Ligurian Apennines. The final descent to the sea at Camogli was a wonderful close to the trip. Every night we were intrigued to find out what On Foot had chosen as our destination. Each place was interesting and offered food typical of the region to be washed down with local wines - all delicious.

On Foot take pride in offering holidays which are off the beaten track. We hardly saw anyone on our trip. They had chosen an excellent route with comprehensive instructions on paper and for GPS. Their booklets about the regions are informative and very helpful with regard to history, geology and food. There is always a back up in case things don't go to plan as well as alternative shorter day options. They make the trip personal and phone to wish you a good holiday beforehand. They also answer the feedback form individually showing that they have taken the trouble to read it.

Walking holiday in Galicia Northern Spain. Beautiful scenery in unspoiled landscapes. 130km along Coast of death. Accommodation provided in a mix of hotels and casa rurales .Support if needed with a local contact. Quality of accomodation excellent in very good locations.

Superbly-chosen accommodation; flawless route instructions and maps; helpful and expert local support. Galicia is a revelation - an empty Cornwall, but with much better weather and much better wine.

Efficient, courteous, expert; we did not have a moment's anxiety about the logistics, so we could concentrate properly on being anxious about our feet.

Two island walking holiday based on Naxos and Amorgos. A selection of detailed walking instructions were provided and we were free to do as much or as little as we wished. The walks were interesting and well described, and there was also plenty of time for sight-seeing, swimming, and enjoying the very good food and drink. We really enjoyed visiting this relatively undeveloped area which is rich in history and natural beauty.

On Foot Holidays were very responsive and helpful following my initial request for suggestions for a walking trip in Greece. Everything was done well from start to finish, with plenty of information of where we were going and what we needed to do. There were excellent suggestions for dining, arrangements with a local taxi driver if we needed a lift, and highly detailed maps and instructions for the walks. It was a great holiday experience and we would happily use this operator again.

We enjoyed 7 days of glorious walking, starting off in picturesque hillside villages, navigating stunning mountain ridges with panoramic views, before finishing by the sea at San Sebastian. The routes were really well designed and we enjoyed the variety of very comfortable accommodation en route, as well as the food, wine and Basque hospitality.

This was our 4th successive year with On Foot Holidays - we can completely rely on them to provide great walking routes, clear navigation instructions and fully vetted, comfortable accommodation. In addition, a local contact is available to provide any guidance if necessary.

A walking holiday from Exeter to Dartmouth over six nights. On Foot arranged nightly accommodation, packed lunches and onward transport of luggage.

On Foot was extremely professional in their dealings with me compared to similar operators. E mails answered promptly. Accommodation options offered. Pre-walk information (maps, info sheets and notes) arrived on time and was very professionally produced. Everything worked fine during the holiday.

Every day the scenery seemed to become more dramatic, more beautiful. We loved walking in the mountains, through small towns , farmland, forests and meadows. The weather was perfect, the accomodation wonderful.

Onfoot organised a wonderful holiday. We loved the walking which led us off the usual tourist tracks. Onfoot were helpful, prompt to reply to any questions and when I needed to change our booking

We have now taken two on foot holidays. As two shall we say older ladies who are keen walkers but never seem to get round to doing all the walking we need to we relish our chance once a year to go away and just walk, oh and chat eat and drink. This year we chose walking lake maggiore and it was an exhilarating adventure of peaceful beech forest walks, island stays, and climbs to the top of the world. On foot organised it all for us and from previous experience we knew we would be challenged stretched and have to work our minds as well as our legs. They make a holiday for walkers of modest ability’s feel they have achieved something. Their walks don’t just take the path well travelled and we really enjoy this aspect on some walks we don’t see another person all day. At the end of the day a welcome home from home in accommodation local to the area all different adding to the adventure but all welcoming and of a good standard. We have never encountered any problems with any aspect of our holiday and on foot are extremely responsive to any email we have sent. We hope to use them again for another menopausal wandering.
