The self-guided Inn-to-Inn walking holiday in Northern Portugal we booked with On Foot Holidays exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The scenery, walking routes and organization of the whole week were taken care of very professionally; we had no issues with any of this and the turn-by-turn instructions ensured we never got lost. We were met every day by friendly staff and our needs were very well taken care.

Their office staff responded to questions very rapidly and their local representative checked the condition of the trails each day and stayed in touch with us at all times.

Our walk through the Basque Pyrenees to Donostia-San Sebastian was everything we could have hoped for: gorgeous scenery, fine accommodations, and the chance to experience Basque and Spanish cultures in a relaxed, natural way. Every day was an immersive adventure, and we strongly recommend it to our fellow walkers.

This was our third walk with On Foot Holidays, so we knew what to expect: professionalism, attention to detail, and confidence that everything would unfold as planned. Walking holiday in France through pristine villages and landscapes. Carefully chosen trails and hotels. All accommodations were extremely clean and staff very courteous. Lots of details provided before the start so we knew what to expect.

The tour operator did an excellent job of providing detailed instructions for the walk as this was not a group activity but an individual trek. Their choices of hotels were excellent. The local resource person was easy to join by phone.

We hiked the very quiet and peaceful backroads and trails of the rocky Sierra de Grazalema for several days, returning each evening to a lovely inn or lodge and excellent meal in a picturesque white village. Breakfasts were provided either in house or to take on the trail for an early start (to beat the heat), and delicious trail lunches were packed for us to go. Visiting the Cueva de Pilata was an additional treat.

They were very organized, thorough and responsive both before and during our travels. We were provided with very detailed information. The hikes, lodging and food were all top notch, and all connections, transport and reservations ran completely smoothly. They tended to our every need, and even notified us en route of recent local changes and how to deal with them.

At all times they took the initiative to communicate with me, both prior to departure, during the trek and afterwards. A local representative was also in touch with me. At one stage of the trek I required a taxi to get me to the next hotel and our representative back in the UK contacted me in Portugal to assist! Excellent!

- we hiked amalfi to sorrento and it rained EVERY DAY. We had an amazing adventure , still saw great views, we were challenged by the terrain ( if you like stairs this is the trip for you), ate amazing food and cannot wait to do another trip

Started the trip in may 2023 in heavy rains. But with the help of the on foot GTX files we were able to stay easily on route and when the weather cleared the spectacular views of the trail of the gods The outfitter was recommended by a friend and their selection of hotels was great with flawless luggage transfers every day Route design was excellent and it gives a feeling of satisfaction to walk a route end to end I have a feeling this will be just the first of several trips woth on foot

We went to the Vikos Gorge in Greece for 6 days (4 days walking). Wonderful views, food, people and hotels.

I took a party of 8 to the Vikos Gorge in May. Everything from start to finish was excellent from On Foot Holidays. The booking process very good and easy with lots of information from people who knew what they were talking about. The pre trip information and guides etc superb and the on ground rep was wonderful. Can not fault them at all.

Fantastic walking holiday in Czech with Onfootholidays. As usually, the staff and service from Onfootholidays was top notch. The Czech walking holiday was a good option for us as several of our group had never done a walking holiday and the footpath markers and directions were very good. There were a few steepish climbs, but not too many. Lots of forest walking, so this holiday would be perfect during the hotter weather. As usual, all of the accomodation was good and several were somewhat quirky. The food was excellent at most places, although not too many choices for vegatarians. I highly recommend an extra night in Jacin, such a beautiful town. A couple of nights in Prague at the end of our walking was great too!
