One of the best On-Foot Holidays Walks yet
I loved this guided walk through the mountains and valleys of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke region. As solo walker, I just loved heading out each morning armed with GPS, maps and information, and was thrilled each day to find beautiful surprises as well as what I had expected. The area is stunning, the people are warm, and the route offered a nice mix of easier and more challenging days. It was one of the best OnFoot walks I've taken,

This was the ninth OnFoot Holidays route I have walked, and I was so happy with their usual attention to detail and support. The local contact's knowledge and availability helped me feel secure and prepared. The route varies in difficulty, and options are provided to accommodate your needs. I can't say enough about their willingness to go beyond the basics to provide a wonderful experience--they routinely send travel information that extends beyond the dates of my route with them, and I appreciate the information provided about the history and culture of the area, sights to see, and places to eat. The walks themselves are, of course, the highlight--well-chosen and described, with a variety of difficulty and options provided.

Excellent walking trip by On Foot Holidays
This was a lovely walk through fields and forest with beautiful views and fascinating history. Walks were both challenging and at times relaxing. The hotel bookings were all excellent. Dinner suggestions were helpful. The route notes were complete. The new app is a nice edition to confirm we were on the correct route. The difficulty rating was accurate. The accompanying literature provided lots of information about the history of the area as ...

The staff at On Foot are delightful. It was a pleasure to plan this trip with them.

A wonderful introduction to the Dolomites
I could not have asked for a better introduction to one of the world's most spectacular mountain ranges. The trip began in the old, German speaking town of Innchen/San Candido and worked its way to Misurina on the Italian speaking side which serves as a base camp for the UNESCO rated Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the open air World War I museum of Monte Piana, and a wide variety of other spectacular mountain trails. It then went on to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the glitzy site of the 2026 Winter Olympics, from which there was a variety of trails available, including perhaps the most spectacular mountain vista I've seen from Italy's highest Refugio. Other than the area immediately around the Tre Cime, the routes were carefully picked to avoid the crowds, allowing a much more relaxed way of appreciating the mountains. The hotels each had a real sense of place and were picked to present different perspectives on the visitor experience in the region. As has consistently been my experience with On Foot walks, the logistics were flawless and the background information and trip notes superb.

This was my 9th walk with On Foot. I keep on returning because of the company's commitment to finding unique, and quality walking experiences which have been carefully vetted and curated by the central office staff and supported by committed local representatives, who have always been available for up to date logistical considerations or information about the area in general. The route choices have consistently been picked to show the unique aspects of the area rather than following a "standard route" along with a herd of other walkers. The mechanics of the lodgings, transfers, and luggage transfers have always worked seamlessly, and the local providers have shown a consistent and loyal appreciation of their On Foot connection. As I have finished each walk, I have always looked forward to finding the next one.

Amalfi Ambulations
6 of us decided to explore Amalfi On Foot and we booked with On Foot due to their reputation for excellence. We had some complex travel arrangements as two of us were staying in Napoli in advance and returning to the UK by train. We had some complex travel arrangements as two of us were staying in Napoli in advance and returning to the UK by train. On Foot were excellent in describing options for arriving and departing the walk, which is just as well as the Napoli-Amalfi ferry was cancelled on our day of arrival. The trip was to walk from Amalfi to Sorrento, staying in Amalfi, Praiano, Positano, Saint Agata and Sorrento, with luggage transfers between. The hotel accommodations were excellent and well located and the luggage transfers seamless. The walking routes were extremely detailed and the app was very accurate. From planning to execution, everything was slick and professional.

The On Foot team were a pleasure to engage with; professional but personable. Already planning our next trip!

Everything went smoothly, scenic routes
We hiked for 4 days in Portugal, and finished with a few days in Porto. The accommodations were all first rate and ready for us at the end of a day hiking

Walking the Vikos gorge and surrounding area in Zagora, Greece
A week's hiking in Zagora, including the Vikos gorge, organised with On Foot Travel. I'm a keen and fit walker, but should add that I'm sixty, but the walks were exactly the right blend of adventure and enjoyment, with alternatives for most days if you felt you needed a rest. The walk through the Vikos gorge was one of the highlights of fifty years of walking - hard, but so spectacular that at some points it quite literally took my breath away...

I hadn't been with them before, but their itineraries attracted me as they're all self-guided walks in areas which are not heavily touristed. The instructions for the walks were meticulous and their attention to detail exemplary. The small family run hotels were full of character and interest, and the entire week went without a single hitch. A holiday of a lifetime (I should add that I'm well-travelled!) and one that will live long in my memory.

An excellent hillwalking holiday in Northern Portugal
A 10 day holiday combining a city break in Porto by 7 days of walking in the beautiful and unspoilt Peneda Gerês National Park.

Excellent organisation from start to finish. Lots of useful pre travel info. Walk notes on paper, maps and the information/ navigation on the smartphone app were very helpful. Accommodation of a high standard. A well designed holiday package!

Adventurous walk in stunning scenery with friendly local hospitality
A self guided 6 day hike in the Ligurian hills through vineyards, woodland and open ridgeways. Staying in rural B&Bs and lovely hotels in the towns on the route. Finishing in Camogli on the Italian Riviera. The route included parts of the via del sale an ancient trading route between Genoa and the alps.

This is our second holiday with on foot. Everyone is knowledgeable about the trips they offer and extremely helpful and quick with responses to questions. Communication is superb and on both holidays we had very good local representatives. Can’t praise on foot highly enough.

Napoli and Amalfi Coast in September
We visited the Amalfi coast for 9 days, staying first in Amalfi town then walking to Praiano, Positano, Sant'Agata and Sorrento from where we visited Ischia.

On Foot were excellent in every respect. They were responsive in the booking period, helped us with several additional queries and their choice of hotels and Walking notes were first rate. They compared very favourably with other companies we have used in this sector.
