Rating for tour operator:

Booking was a day trip so full services of tour operator not needed, but Naturetrek delivered my booking with no hitches and I had a fabulous day. Will hopefully use again.

Unbelievable snorkelling with shoals of tropical fish - imagine swimming in an aquarium - rays, sea lions and 4 species of shark. Follow this with 3 days in the rainforest staying at a superb ecolodge with daily excursions into the surrounding ecosystem.

Rating for tour operator:

Our initial email enquiry was answered within hours, despite the ongoing lockdown, and in all subsequent calls or emails our queries were answered promptly and thoroughly. Their initial information pack was very comprehensive but readily understood from recommended packing lists to flight information and the pre-departure pack left nothing out. All the overseas arrangements, collections, guides, cars etc were faultless.

Poland In Spring

However they claim there rules do not allow me to postopne or defer any trips. this means I lose my deposit of £400. When I booked the trip last September, I had no idea that I would develop a severe condition preventing me from walking any distance with out pain. I also now need to restirct my diet for a few months while treatemtn is explored. .

Naturetrek responded to this review on 22 Mar 2022:

We were very sorry to learn of this client’s health issues. We make it very clear that we strongly recommend our customers to have travel insurance in place at the time of booking, which of course, amongst other things, covers cancellation of a holiday on the grounds of poor health. We have been as flexible and accommodating as possible with regard to cancellations and transfers throughout the pandemic, but now that travel is returning to something like normal we think it appropriate and fair that travel insurance covers cancellations such as this where we have gone to non-refundable expense on clients’ behalf. We wish the client a complete and speedy recovery, and hope to welcome them onto a Naturetrek holiday again in the future.

Birds and wildlife watching in the Forest of Dean

The holiday from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon was for a group of 8, guided by a bird and wildlife expert. With a 7 am start to an evening drive finishing at 11pm, we walked or drove to many different habitats in the Forest of Dean searching for birds and other wildlife. The 60 species of bird and 5 species of mammal sighted, discussed and recorded will be a lasting memory, with scarce birds such as Goshawk, Hawfinch and brambling being ...

Birdwatching in the Somerset Levels

It was only 3 days but we had a packed itinerary to see over 60 different bird species. The real attraction for the trip was to see a starling murmuration and that did not disappoint.

Rating for tour operator:

As a nature and wildlife enthusiast, Naturetrek are one of the best tour operators for me. I was impressed by the experience and enthusiasm of the tour leader - and that is so important to nature holidays. It was excellent value for money given the itinerary and the accommodation/food.

Rating for tour operator:

This is our 5th tour with Naturetrek. They manage their operation extremely well and tours are usually top quality. On the rare occassion there are problems, they sort them out quickly and provide refunds where appropriate. There have been no issues reorganising tours as a consequence of cancellations arising from the pandemic.
